This is a great space and a absolutely amazing location. However I cannot recommend the cafe here as it lacks the special attention that is so deserves. The lady serving was unaware who was queuing and attempted to serve people further along the queue.

I attempted to ask for a vegan sausage roll which I was advised was not available,, other sausage rolls were available and it was about 10:30 in the morning. Therefore I just asked for a diet coke as it was a hot day. One friend had nothing as he wanted a vegan sausage roll like myself due to his Islamic beliefs. My other friend had the scrambled eggs on toast. He was given his electronic buzzer to let him know when it was ready for him to come and collect.

Stop this electronic stuff, just bring it over and interact with your paying customers. You had four members of staff and two of them were chatting most of the time. Tables were waiting to be cleaned and just left until someone told the new member of staff it was his job.

The £10 scrambled eggs on toast were very, very pricey, just two slices of sourdough toast and eggs. No garnish or something to suggest this was a £10 meal. I will not, as well as my chums, be visiting this place as we feel the potential is being let down by staff and over priced foods. We hope it goes well for you as the place is beautiful and so spacious but let down by an inadequate service.

Just popped in to the new 1856 Cafe next door for a nice breakfast. Friendly staff, lots for the kids to do, dog friendly, you can even get a cup of tea for £1.00. Or treat yourself like I did . Very nice place.👍

Unfortunately, my experience was marred by the unprofessional staff managing the activities. The lady working at the cafe was particularly invasive and overfamiliar. She even touched my baby without asking for permission, which made me quite uncomfortable.

The staff's behaviour was not limited to the cafe. After closing the bar, the same lady drove a white Mini car at twice the speed limit, posing a serious danger to the kids present. Such reckless driving is unacceptable and puts the safety of visitors at risk.

Overall, I was disappointed with my experience in the forest. The lack of professionalism among the staff and their disregard for visitor safety is concerning. I hope the management takes these issues seriously and addresses them promptly.

Lovely cafe, large area for wheel chairs, prams, dogs etc around each table in the new visitor centre cafe. Excellent toilet facilities too, well worth parking in the second carpark for!
