Well worth it.

There was plenty to do with the kids and plenty of open spaces. Most of the trail was friendly with a pushchair.

Had a great kids park with plenty of stuff for them to play on and keep them entertained. Lots of benches and places to sit if you need to rest or are having a picnic.

The trail itself leads into a bunch of directions, and there's plenty to explore a good way to spend a hot day and get some exercise.

The cafe on site served lovely food and coffee.

Would definitely recommend this place if you're thinking of taking the kids out for the day and don't want to spend a fortune or even if you want somewhere nice to just walk the dog.

Easy to find with a large carpark. Cafe and visitor center also has toilets. Plenty of choice of the type of walk , totally flat and level along the old railway line or into the woods which is very steep in places. Good direction signs so you can't get lost. Children's play area and activities along the trackway. Dog friendly and a great place for a family trip. Charge for parking by cash, card or app. Good selection of light meals in the cafe at a good price which takes cash or card.

Great for anyone. Can be a gentle walk or a hard one. Take your time and soak in that feeling of calmness. Notice the excellent carvings as you enjoy the walk with plenty for the kids to. Make sure you look around you. You may miss things. Children love it. Your dog will love it. Any adult will too. Stop off for something to eat enjoy a drink. Or just sit and have a coffee. It's all very nice..

Great for a scenic walk with kids and dogs or just by yourself. Trails to follow. The kids loved the Stick Man trail. On until Nov 25 and only£4 for a activity pack. There is a cafe but also are picnic tables so you can bring your own food.
