Absolutely magical night with lights and lanterns at Chester Zoo. The mammoth and the forest were my family’s favourite. Lovely choice of food and drink at the Christmas Market and reasonably priced for these days (small pizza £10, large hot dog £6, hot chocolate with whipped cream £4.50, tray bakes £4.50, large candy floss £4.50). Nice set if vintage rides for kids (swings and 2 carousels) and who also enjoyed saying hello to Santa. The virtual reality was also fantastic which featured elves.

Great place to visit. No Giraffes at the moment until March so we were a little disappointed by this, but there are lots of fantastic animals to see.

I loved the park a lot, I have to go there again as it is huge and we saw everything very quickly. The only thing is that the girl at the entrance where you buy the ticket I said I wanted the ticket for a year and she said perfect but she didn't tell me to give her details and now I want to book and I can't because I don't have the email.

It was a fantastic day out with great facilities and well looked after animals. Very pleasant and helpful staff, especially Amy,( wheel chair user ), with her Orangutan knowledge and passion for them.

The zoo as a whole has never let us down. It's never been a bad day going there. Toilets everywhere, and quite a lot of eateries, but I do recommend finding the indoor places cause the wasps are a pain. the price isnt cheap at all. I understand helping the zoo, but even if there was a family ticket to help us out? We would definately go more if it was a bit cheaper, which in turn would help them out more. That is my only gripe 😅 but if u can afford it for a once every few years kind of thing, it won't let you down

Cracking zoo but some of the animals are a bit above themselves as they couldn't even be bothered coming out when I went past! Others like the red panda or the orangutans are top, proper playing up to the crowd and therefore, getting the accolade of being my favourite animals in the park, most of the fish are a bit boring but I'm a bit biased like that and I don't care who knows! Ooh the bats rock! Lions are lazy, sun bears are aloof, I'm not sure some of the species exist as they just seem like empty enclosures...you never know, they could have been very rare "invisible" creatures, who knows?

Seems expensive at first but considering what you get, it's a cracking day out with tons to do, lots of places to eat or picnic. We spent five hours round the zoo and saw most of it but you could spend much longer and never get bored. Shame the monorail has gone but the lazy river boat is quite good and a nice chance to have a sit down.

Thoroughly recommended...but the lemurs can stuff off, hiding away because it was a bit cold..the soft gets!!!!!! That's all I went for dagnabbit!!!!!

Go up
