We visited the Great Cockcrow Railway with our daughter just before they closed for winter, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! This miniature steam train railway is a true gem, offering charm and excitement for visitors of all ages.

Our daughter absolutely loved itโ€”from the moment the first train whistle blew to the thrill of riding through scenic routes on the beautifully crafted miniature steam trains.

We were pleased to find that parking was ample and convenient, which made the trip stress-free right from the start.
The Great Cockcrow Railway is a fantastic way to create memorable experience for families.

Brilliantly run, fully functioning miniature steam railway. The volunteer team are absolutely lovely and so enthusiastic.
There are two routes, each taking about twenty mins to complete, but be prepared to wait much longer than this, to board, on busy days.
The cafe is very basic, so be prepared to take a picnic if you have any dietary requirements.

Magnificent course with bridges , riversides, tunnels. Itโ€™s a must visit place , the ticket prices are affordable like 6ยฃ. Per adult .

The kids loved this place, the trains are something awesome and a sight to behold.
One star less as the carriages are small and if you are slightly larger then it rubs like hell on your legs.
The trips are long and varied so well worth a visit.

Great afternoon trip. Took my son (3) and he had a fantastic day.

Staff were all fantastic, being very child friendly and happy to hear engage all the questions of little ones and photo asks of families.

Both routes offer a broad selection of experiences for the passengers (tunnels, bridges, stations etc)

Post rides we had a great time watching the coming and going of all the trains in and out of the station.

Great experience for kids and adults!! Our nearly 3 years old daughter loved it, there was not too much queue when we arrived at 1.30pm, maybe around 15 minutes. The trains are super cute and go quite fast! We had the bonus of a beautiful hot weather, so overall it was a fantastic activity for a family day out with other friends!! Totally recommended if you are in the area (if you go for 1 ride you can expect the whole activity to last for half hour).

Beautiful and wonderfully run. The miniature trains all ran really frequently and the whole operation was full at the bream with passion from the people who worked there. Puts a lot of other miniature railways to shame!
