Our Canoe Across Scotland trip was planned as an adventure holiday, an excursion to push us out of our comfort zone and do something that perhaps the traditional tourist might not attempt. But it turned into so much more than that.

Picturesque views, a thrilling journey and exciting wild camping was made possible by Good2Go Adventures but especially Geoff Potts, our guide. He was unbelievably experienced, knowledgeable, kind, funny and patient. And just a generally all-round good guy. We felt supported at all times, but had the freedom to experience for ourselves. It felt like our adventure. He kept us safe (even in an amber weather warning!) and included us in decision making where possible to make sure we got to the finish line. And I will never forget the taste of his food after a long day paddling. I would do this trip again in a heartbeat, but I think we’d have to insist on Geoff.

Also, a huge shout-out and thank you to Mac, our second guide. Another outdoor expert, good egg and gentleman. He made our trip with his help, his storm shelter and his funny stories.

Thank you both for the journey of a lifetime. It’s now firmly been cemented as a Core Memory and an adventure I will never forget. Can we go for round two?

Amazing time spent with Geoff and Sam canoeing across Scotland. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a different view of Scotland in great company while maybe pushing yourself out of your comfort zone. What Sam can do on a camp stove deserves a medal and we were never short of food. The wild camping spots are fantastic. Geoff and Sam were the perfect guides: lots of tips to make the most of the trip and a great laugh as well. Sad to leave at the end and just wanted it to continue.

I had a great time paddling from Fort William to Inverness with Sam and Matti as our guides in the Great Glen Valley. We were spoiled by the weather and the guys kept us all safe. Highly recommend them.

What an adventure! While Nessie had fun with the strong headwind for us, Sam and Grizzly kept us safe while allowing for the challenge to be taken up. I definitely am going to go for other tours as soon as possible and am recommending the company to everyone who might just that tiny little bit interested. DO IT!!!

We have just done the great glen adventure with Sam, we had the best time, complete strangers made to feel all included and part of a team, we found his knowledge not only to be informative but reassuring when the Scottish weather changes, i would recommend this to anyone with a desire to explore something new, thanks Sam for everything

On my way home canie across Scotland adventure. Had a great time. Brilliant guides in Chuckie and Geoff, engaging, full of stories, and looked out for us all. The food catered for all needs, just let them know beforehand. The snack bucket went down a treat 😀 Plenty of challenges whether it be from canoeing, wind and waves, rain, cold toes ( get your footwear right) or wild camping and all it entails. You really don't need many clothes, work on layers. A head torch makes life easier with free hands. A battery pack is handy for charging your phone for all the photos. Good waterproofs are an essential against the wind and rain potential. A hat can hide all manners of hair sins!
If you want something to gently challenge you, make new friends and connect you with nature then this is great thing to do. A mix of couples, friends and solo travellers quickly got to know each other and have fun. Definitely recommend.🙂

Just completed the great glen. Sam and Chris were absolute stars. I've already reccomended the company to others! Although I am exhausted, I cannot fault them. From cooking wonderful meals for us to saving me when I capsized, they were incredible. The most supportive and down to earth chaps. I left scotland feeling so proud of myself for doing this, and its because of their constant encouragement that i did it! Unfortunately 5 stars just aren't enough.
