Loved it there. I was impressed with the accommodation, very clean and comfortable. It has almost everything you will need at home.
I enjoyed the beach, swim time at the pool, going to the park and the arcade.
It is a very calm and relaxing environment, children and family friendly
We did not go with a car so getting a taxi was the only challenge.

Just back from a 3 night stay and was pleasantly surprised. The access to the beach as others have described was a disappointment but from where our caravan was located there were no issues with the noise and my little one loved watching the diggers! Caravan was a little delayed at check-in but it was pleasant and clean. Issues with TV, which was reported to reception and someone came straight away. We have stayed at a number of different caravan sites over the years and can honestly say this had a great variety of day and evening entertainment (we travelled with a 2 year old, 12 and 16 year olds) so pleasing everyone can be difficult but they all had an amazing time. The entertainers were all so lovely, engaging and professional and it was great to see the younger children being catered for with the bubble disco and nursery rhymes, which was brilliant!! We ate in the restaurant twice and had no issues with the food - all the restaurant staff we encountered were fabulous, especially a young male with brunette hair (didn’t catch his name) who went above and beyond and was so incredibly attentive and polite. We usually holiday in North Devon and the location was a bit different but this would not stop us from coming here in the future.

Just done 4 nights here with wife and kids, ( 7 and 13 ) the staff at golden sands are great, helpful and the facilities are good. Only down side is the food at the onsite pub is over priced for the quality!!! It would ge good if there was a shop on site too instead of doing the walk to the little corner shop. If you want food near by The Harbour ( which is a greene king pub ) and The Mayquay which is over the road from the harbour ( and probably nicer ) are worth going to. Apart from that everything else was fine oh and there was a dead baby seagull hanging from one of the caravan roofs for days, also the mop provided absolutely stinks

Was supposed to be a relaxing break .but no sounds like an earthquake every morning at stupid o clock thanks to the flood defence work.wasnt warned about this on booking . Can't fault the caravan at all .club restaurant is disgusting. Had stone cold food which they refunded as certainly not cheap ! Entertainment finished earlier than advertised. Says disco at 11pm on flyer but bar last orders are at 10.45 .and the resort is practically closed Mon-Thursday. Would i book again NO !

Great place to stay as a Base. Great staff .very clean caravans and grounds. The food was not so great but the manager was very helpful and offered a refund. Something outside of there control was the renewal of the sea defence right nxt to the park . It was extremely noisy from about 6am till 10.30pm depending on tides

Lovely caravan right near the beach. Good sized site with clean pool, bar areas and fantastic entertainment. Close enough for days out to conwy and Llandudno. Beach at the site is very oily and muddy before getting onto the sand which isn't the sites fault but does put a bit of a dampener on things.

My partner paid for a holiday for me for my 40th birthday upon arrival we were told our caravan would be ready for 12.30 so we stayed on site only to get told it's half to check in . A bar lad called jacardi wasn't very happy with this and went to management the management came out and offered us free drinks and anything off the food menu which I think was fantastic. Jacardi is a credit to your team. Abbie is also very good asking us how we are and if we need anything else .. the manager is also wonderful. I also got a bottle of prosecco for my birthday and a card off Golden sands thankyou very much .
Once we got into our caravan it was lovely and clean and very spacious. . One little slight moan the entertainment wasn't on some nights etc bingo probably because it was so quiet this week But also I think the cost of drinks at the bar and food was overpriced other than that we have had a wonderful time and we will be coming back in the near future. Thankyou jacardi and Abbie and manager for a wonderful birthday one to remember.. 😁

Update:
I received a partial refund.

Update:
Thank you for your reply Golden Sands. I will be in touch via email with my booking details as suggested. I hope this can be looked into properly, as our experience was well below the standard we expected based on your website and the price paid. I’ll update this review depending on how the matter is resolved.

We stayed at G1 6 people caravan recently. We are a family of 5 with a 4 month old and we booked our 3 day stay through Away Resorts and paid £400.
We were disappointed in the quality of our caravan.
It was very difficult to find out what exactly was included in the "kitchen essentials" or the bathroom. The information was not readily provided on the website.

*The sofa, seats and carpet were covered in multiple stains - very off-putting
*No soap in the bathroom, just one tiny towel and no hooks to hang your own
*2 toilet rolls in the bathroom, 1 ply - stingy in my opinion
*There was a total of 10 hangers (9 actually as 1 was broken) for potentially 6 people
*Travel cot cost £15 + £20 deposit... and it's payment with cash only
*Our caravan smelt of cigarettes and weed
*Living room floor was sticky
*Which made sense when I later discovered a WET MOP in the boiler cupboard that smelt like wet dog
*Lack of space to store your things - 6 people caravan would be more suitable for 4 people
*Kitchen essentials don't include customary items like sugar, salt, tea. There was a tiny bottle of dish soap (sufficient for 1 day)
*There was no can opener (for the nation that loves baked beans that is shocking)
*Beds were the cheapest spring type mattresses, not comfy but not the worst either
*WiFi is £15 for 3 days (again no mention of this on the website)
*Beach is fenced off, not their fault, but this resort advertised itself as beach-front, yet forgot to mention that the beach is pretty much inaccessible
*We got one set of keys, 2 would be better
*Someone tried to enter our caravan at 8:30am on the day we were leaving. The person had a pack of keys in their hand. Not sure if cleaner or a guest from neighbouring caravan.

Refrain from eating outside as some people were attacked by seagulls, it's their nesting season so they can be aggressive.
We travelled as a group and our friends had a much better standard caravan for lower price as they booked private.
