This seal trip is absolutely brilliant!!! I found Go2Sea because of their rave reviews, so now I need to leave one too! I took my Son, 6 year old Granddaughter and my “scared of boats” partner (who is now not scared at all!!!). The conditions were perfect and Stuart made the trip fun and engaging for all ages. He put everyone at ease immediately and really seemed to enjoy taking us out on his amazing boat and telling us all about the seals. We had a little history lesson too which was fascinating. As a family we would highly rate this trip while you’re visiting Ramsgate and the Thanet area or even if you’re Kent/Thanet locals like us!!!! Do it !!! Who Dares Wins 💪🏼 🦭

An absolutely fantastic boat trip from start to finish! Seeing seals up close in their natural habitat was simply wonderful. A last minute booking that was quickly available for us, and what a great trip we had! Stuart was knowledgeable, so friendly and added to the the experience. Oh and the seals were a joy to see! Would 100% recommend.

There are a few boat trips but lucky for us they were all booked up and we booked this one. It was fantastic! Totally recommend it, my son loved it!
We saw so many seals it was amazing! Stuart was so knowledgeable and you can see he really cares for them and the wildlife.
If we come back to Ramsgate then this is a trip I would book again. Thank you Go2sea!

The owl and the pussycat went to sea…on an EX SPECIAL FORCES BOAT!

I was looking for a boat trip at sea in Thanet, came across the Go2sea website and gave them a call. Luckily for us they had just had a cancellation for the 11:30 Seal Trip! 🦭🦭🦭🦭🦭 😃

We (me and my husband) met Stuart at 11:15 at the little orange Go2sea cabin. It’s located opposite Ramsgate Maritime Museum (CT11 8LS if you’re using sat nav). Due to the last minute booking we crossed our fingers and luckily got parked very nearby (£9.30 on RingGo for 3 hours). You could park further away for less and the parking very close by is extremely limited so it's definitely worth arriving early so you have time to get situated.

The trip was £30pp for 1hr so we settled up (they take cash or card) and then Stuart got us all fitted with life jackets. They are nothing like the traditional style of jacket and don't really feel like a jacket. They are very streamlined, unobtrusive and comfortable. It’s like having a very thin, rolled up bit of material draped behind your neck and over your shoulders with a strap here and there. He explained that, if submerged in salt water, the tiny tank within would dissolve and the preserver would inflate automatically, much like an airbag would when impact is detected in a car.

I think it's worth mentioning that Stuart is a coastguard which really added to the feeling of being in safe hands. He also informed us that the boat he would be using for our seal trip is an indestructible, inflatable ex Special Forces vessel!

We set off on the short stroll to the boat and climbed aboard. I think there may have been 12 of us in all.

My husband and I were sat behind Stuart and everyone else was sat to the front of the boat. We set off gently out of the harbour gathering speed as we reached the open sea. The salty sea-spray splashing up and the sunshine and breeze on our faces was exhilarating…it really makes you feel alive!!

Nearing Pegwell bay I was excited to see two little shapes bobbing about in the ripples of sea!! 🦭 🦭 Two sleek seals (mother and baby) seemingly oblivious to our presence. 🥰🥰

A little further on we moved from the open sea water into the more secluded river water of Pegwell bay and the surrounding area. It's very picturesque. Passing by a variety of spectacular sea birds Stuart told us lots of interesting facts about the area and its history.

We were soon greeted with the gorgeous sight of seals of all shapes and sizes 🦭 🦭 🦭 🦭🦭stretched out sunbathing on the banks. So wonderful and genuinely relaxing and breathtaking all at the same time.

We had plenty of time gently bobbing about the bay as Stuart told us all about the seals. So magical, it felt as if time stood still. Seeing the seals lolloping about so relaxed and content, some of them fast asleep was absolute bliss!

Eventually, as we gently drifted, making our way back past all the seals, the birds and the banks of the bay we rejoined the deeper waters of the sea 🌊 and began our journey back. Savouring the fresh air and still feeling surprised to have seen so many seals Stuart finished the trip on a high note as we cut through the water at speed impressively leaning left and right into the waves and then gently nestling back into Ramsgate harbour to disembark.

A wonderful trip with a stunning backdrop and a privilege to be close to nature in this way made for a truly unforgettable experience!

Stuart made this trip all the more special by being a fantastic host. He's clearly passionate about the sea, nature, people and obviously loves what he does. A highly skilled, knowledgeable and professional chap... and funny 😁 too which makes for a perfect trip!

Well worth the money. Highly recommend doing this!!!

Fantastic boat trip. Nice relaxed n saw plenty of seals. Really knowledgeable skipper in Stuart. Thoroughly recommend this if you're in Ramsgate 😀
