We did the zip wire experience and it was amazing. We had a group of 6 people and 2 instructors. Took about 2 hours to get through there were 3 zip wires down due to trees but didn't affect out experience still got to do 5 massive zip wires was great experience in the foggy spooky trees. Purchased gloves there which were glad we had. Parking on departure cost £5.90

Great experience for a range of different skill abilities, definitely worth it for the ziplines through and across the valleys. Our instructor jack was happy to help and was thorough with the demonstration. Massive thanks to Stuart who helped to align the booking times!
We (2) did the treetop challenge course which took about 3h total (including walking between the 6 challenges) and was a good level of difficulty having had previous experience at go ape.

Lovely afternoon here with 1 adult and 2 children (11 and 14). Older child did the Challenge and younger did the Adventure. Ni complaints about the course, instruction etc. Both children enjoyed their adventures. Nice peaceful location. Nice cafe. My only gripe (and it's the same at most places tbh), is there sometimes was not enough staff. My younger daughter waited a long while to be let onto the course after her first level. And we had to ask staff to assist a child who was clearly struggling. All sorted in the end and the staff that were there were doing their best. But, Go Ape, ensure more staff on site. Otherwise an enjoyable trip.

Having been to Go Ape Aberfoyle we were keen to try another location and Grizedale did not disappoint.

Lovely location and great zips! Instructors very friendly, accommodating and informative. No problems whatsoever including when we had to amend our booking.

Could have stayed much longer if we weren’t travelling home! The bike rides and forest look amazing and the cafe was a nice touch to finish.

We had Nick as our instructor and although he was new and we were his first customers this was not obvious in any way!! Very friendly, knowledgeable and chatty.

A thoroughly great experience x

An amazing experience at Go Ape Grizedale ? me and my partner went for my birthday, I’m very scared of heights. Naturally I wanted to challenge that, so we dove straight in with the tree top challenge. It’s safe to say my fear of heights has massively dropped after doing this.

There was a point halfway through where I felt like I wanted to stop, but instead pushed through that fear, and I’m glad I did because it was so worth it and left feeling very proud.

The staff were faultless and they gave a thorough safety talk which helps you to feel confident in trusting yourself during the course. There were various platforms, some were difficult and wobbly and others were easier. Favourite part was definitely the zipwires!

Overall an incredible experience and will be finding courses closer to home to do. Thanks Go Ape ?

If you ever want more fun than you can shake a stick at, go Zip Trekking in Grizedale when the rain's coming at you horizontally in 20+ mph gusts. It's akin to crewing a racing dinghy suspended on the trapeze wire. Our guides were pro entertainers in addition to being professional guides in all respects and made our trip the best.
Would we do it again? Unreservedly yes!

We visited Grizedale and booked on the 'Zip Trek' option rather than the more 'traditional' Go Ape option. This is basically where you get driven up into the mountains to start a series of 7 zip lines that you trek from one to the other. The last zip line brings you back into the back of the main car park. The zip lines vary in length, the longest being around 500m, and steepness of angle, and thus speed. There are some strict weight limits, both too light and too heavy. The zip lines crisscross valleys, the land falling away beneath your feet as you launch yourself off the platform, from one valley side to the other. You are guided around the course by two guides, one goes 1st and the other goes last. You need to complete some waiver forms before beginning and you have safety talks before starting. Your guides put on and check all the harnesses you wear. It is a great day and brilliant experience and can't wait to go back and try one of the other course options.

Great place, instructors were good and informative. very busy And lots of groups holding up the next, would advise to maybe make the gaps in between groups a bit bigger or group sizes a bit smaller. But never the less lots of fun with equal measures of fear
