Had a fabulous private surf lesson on Friday 27th June. Completely new to surfing and at just over 60 I had no idea how I would get on. Absolutely brilliant experience and in no small part due to the great, very clear guidance and instruction from Louis. He had me standing up on the surf board, riding waves by the mid point in the lesson. I think the longest I managed before the wave petered out was about nine seconds - really exhilarating and definitely left me wanting to practise more before a further group or private lesson. You get an additional hour with the board after the lesson, my only wish in hindsight was that I had taken a break and then done the hour later in the day when I had recovered. Suffice to say I was knackered and couldn't repeat my success when my wife came down and took these bits of video

We have used Chris and the team three times now in the last 12 months. The service has been faultless and all queries from start to finish have been promptly answered and they are super helpful. The instructors are brilliant as well and the lessons have been enjoyed by all the family. Great set up at Gwithian with changing rooms and a short walk to the beach with a range of locations depending on the tide and conditions. Cannot wait to be back in the few weeks. My stepdaughter came for a beginners surf lesson on Friday. The whole experience was great and she had an amazing time. The equipment is in great condition, the instructors were friendly and patient and Amber has a fantastic time and managed to catch some waves. Highly recommended and a great cafe to refuel after being in the sea. One improvement could be a shower to rinse off after being covered in sand.

Would definitely use them again and the beach is great for beginners.

Amazing Surf Lesson Experience

I had a wonderful experience surfing with my son for the first time. The instructor was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and an excellent teacher, especially with my 11-year-old. The beautiful beach at Gwithian provided the perfect setting for the lessons.

Highly recommended for anyone looking to try surfing.

Chris, Steve and the team run an excellent surf school on a beautiful part of the Cornish coast feed by regular and consistent surf. The instructors are friendly and highly knowledgeable and run very safe and inclusive lessons. They have taught my son to surf and we surf safety all winter in some often challenging conditions. Great school, highly recommended.

Our team took part in a beginner surf session with Chris at Global Boarders, we had such a great time and really gained confidence in the sea (while being able to laugh at ourselves for the inevitable wipeouts!). The lesson was the perfect duration and we learnt so much about the sea and the fundamentals to surfing, while still having a lot of time in the water 'having a go'.

We went kayaking with Matt and we had the best time on the water. Matt was able to tell us so many stories and sealife details. He also showed us a lot of caves and we were lucky to see a seal, lots of jellyfish and even some mackerels. Thank you Matt for making it so much fun and taking the time!
