Liked: Spent a lovely few days at Lodge Farm.
The farmers wife was friendly and hospitable.
Lovely scenery, so peaceful I hope my children did not disturb the other campers.
The amenities were clean and tidy, a little cooker and utensils were available if you needed to use them.
Very clean and tidy tiolet.
Loved the outdoor shower so refreshing to bathe outside on a hot sunny day.
Also loved that there were no restrictions and we were able to come and go as we pleased.
Thank you so much for having us would happily come again.

Liked: Good location; far enough from everything to be quiet and feel secluded, but close enough to buy any things that mightve been forgotten.
Stables fitted with kitchen and a portaloo next door.
Plenty of space for privacy even if other people are using the field.
Lovely views.
Didnt see anyone else there except a family using one of the bell tents. So its perfect if you like being left alone.

Disliked: Satnav took me to a closed off lane and had to find my own way to the farm, which they did state on their page, i just didnt read it until after id arrived. So entirely my own fault.
The lane to the farm is fine for a tractor or 4x4 but a small hatchback could struggle, if you dont like it too bouncy.

Liked: We have just got home from a night's glamping at Lodge Farm, our bell tent was beautifully furnished with all the home comforts inside. Hannah also put some decorations up for our daughters birthday which was a lovely touch. The site had everything we needed, a well equipped communal kitchen in the barn, a clean porta loo and a shower which we didn't use, but it was good to have. We really enjoyed our first night glamping as a family and would definitely recommend Lodge Farm. Our daughter made friends with 2 little boys who were also camping and I liked that the site was safe and secure, the children played in the field together as well as playing with the toys available to use from the barn. All in all a lovely overnight stay. Thank you to Hannah

We were lucky enough to stay in Lavender to celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary.
Hannah has thought of everything and even managed to add even more โ€˜little touchesโ€™ that meant so much.
You are able to park your car right by your bell tent, which makes unloading much easier. We had the most beautiful weather and Hannah came to check that we were ok. How could we not be, when even the toilet had been decorated beautifully.
I would highly recommend a stay here and weโ€™re planning on coming back again with our daughter to have another adventure!

Liked: Perfectly simple with very friendly lady that runs it . We had trouble locating the place as it is just a field in a field and the sat nav didn't recognise the best entrance . but the lady was extremely helpful and stayed on the phone until we arrived.

Disliked: Only one port-a-loo for the whole field but was extremely clean, well decorated and smelt nice.

Liked: What an amazing little place. I loved the Bell tent and the space we had around it. The kitchen was so cute with everything you need. We only stayed for one night so didn't us the shower but it was so quirky. The owner came out and made sure we were settled and made sure I had everything in place for whe I arrived too. I loved every minute and would definitely book again.

Disliked: I wouldn't say this was a dislike. Just a suggestion. On the double bed the pillows constantly fell off the back. Maybe a headboard or something to keep the pillows on the bed would be good.

Liked: Beautifully set-up bell tent with all you need. Lovely unspoilt rural views in a peaceful location. Great shared kitchen area with kids toys available (although mine loved simply picking blackberries in the hedges!). Hannah was very friendly and welcoming and made sure we had all we needed. Also gave a great recommendation to drive up to the far end of The Naze (Walton) which was pur favourite beach spot - make sure you visit the tower and Essex Wildlife Trust centre.
