Giant's Causeway - Bushmills

Our family had a wonderful visit to the Giant’s Causeway and spent almost 3 hours exploring this amazing natural wonder. The unique hexagonal stones are incredible to see up close, and the combination of sea views, mountains, and blue skies made it unforgettable. We really enjoyed walking around the mountain paths and stepping down to the sea to experience the stones at the water’s edge. A must-see attraction and truly breathtaking!

The Giant’s Causeway was one of the absolute highlights of our Ireland trip—truly breathtaking in every sense. Pictures don’t do it justice. Standing among the thousands of perfectly formed basalt columns, with the Atlantic stretching out endlessly behind them, felt like stepping into another world. The scale, the shapes, and the raw beauty of the cliffs made it clear why this place has inspired myths and legends for centuries.

Even though it was crowded during our visit, the magic of the landscape still came through. The sound of the waves crashing against the rocks, the rugged cliffs towering above, and the surreal geometric stones under our feet combined to make it an unforgettable experience. If time allows, we’d recommend taking the upper cliff path on the way in for incredible views before dropping down to the stones. On the way back, you can either walk the road out or hop on the shuttle bus if it’s waiting.

It’s a place that’s humbling and exhilarating at the same time, and absolutely worth the journey. If you’re visiting Ireland, the Giant’s Causeway is a must-see.

Simply incredible. I want to go back so bad. It does get very busy even later like around 5pm when we went. The sun is starting to set so the rocks looks really cool. There is a shuttle to take you down to the rocks and multiple hiking paths to get there. I didn’t explore them as much as I wanted because of all the people but it was an amazing formation. Highly recommend making the trip.

It was 2 hours from the cruise ship. It is beautiful scenery, but he kept telling us stuff that we couldn't visit. The causeway was cool, but very crowded. Not really worth the drive in my opinion. I did have a delicious Guinness. The guide was great, except he did tell us a ton of things that were really cool that we couldn't see.

Amazing place of natural beauty. We went on an exceptionally windy and cool August day. Would definitely recommend if travelling with small kids to hold onto them nice and tight!

An absolute must for a Northern Ireland visit. Recommend doing the guided tour and then walking up the steps and doing the red trail if you are up for it. Phil was our guide and he was great. But the natural beauty of the site is what makes it worth the trip. Spectacular. The hexagonal pillars formed as a lava lake cooled are fascinating. The ability to walk everywhere and explore is rare and fun.

Giant's Causeway was well worth the time to visit. Seeing all the natural rock formations was spectacular. It's a bit of a walk to get to the rocks from the parking lot. Some of the walk is on a bit of an incline, so wear comfortable shoes. Be careful if you walk off the path as it would take much to slip and fall. We spent about 2 hours at the site. Also, you can go on a tour or self-guided tour. We chose the self-guided tour as we wanted to go at our own pace. Would recommend bringing wired ear buds for the self-guided tour as your arm will get tired holding the device close to your ear after a while. Take lots of pictures to enjoy later.

We took the hike along the cliffs edge with a guide. Best way to see it! Our guide had many fascinating stories about the area and people, paced the hike well, and provided humor. The stones are a wonder of nature we got to sit on and climb around too. Lovely day and experience.
