Booking our private tours with Flip @ Giant Tours Ireland was the best thing we did while in Ireland. We saw more beautiful sites and learned more about Ireland in our 3 days with Flip then we did in 9 days on our other tour. Flip even took us back to a couple of places we visited to show us the amazing things we missed out on. Whether you want to see the sights or get the in depth Game of Thrones or How to Train a Dragon experience, Flip will take amazing care of you. We enjoyed coffee, gardens and forests, castles, and three of the best restaurants we visited in Ireland. Flip was so down to earth, was sure to make sure our adventure fit our fitness capabilities, and even took care to understand my food allergies. When we return to Ireland we will definitely book with Giant Tours Ireland again!

Having traveled using private guides for years, I have seen the bad, the good, and the exceptional…Flip is exceptional!! From my first communication with him, he was responsive and a delight to work with in tweaking our 2 days in Belfast. We had an interesting history together, as I first booked in 2020, then again in 2021, and finally decided to wait until 2024. Flip communicated with me all these years and held our spot until we finally made it.
This tour was worth the wait. Flip knows Ireland, and how to make you feel welcome, and like you are part of the family. You can’t buy that. He kept us entertained, made us feel like we were totally being taken care of (my sister recently injured her knee, and Flip took great care to be sure she was comfortable and safe.)
His history with Game of Thrones puts him in a unique position to really deliver the best experience possible. Flip showed us places and things that you will not get on other tours.
I am having trouble even writing this review because I can’t put into words the feeling that we all came away with. As our 2 days came to an end, we felt like we were leaving family behind. In our 14 days in Scotland and Ireland, we had a remarkable time with some great private guides, but none came close to Flip in knowledge, -personality, and generosity of spirit!

I have traveled all over the world and taken a LOT of tours, but nothing comes close to the experience my family and I had with Flip.

Across the board, it was each of our favorite part of our trip to Ireland. We were a mixed bag, half big Game of Thrones fans, the other half had only seen bits and pieces. This is great for those who love the show because of all of the fun information Flip was able to share, but just as amazing for those who just want to see the most beautiful areas around Belfast with someone who is experienced and knowledgeable.

Flip was the perfect guide from start to finish, and allowed us to really make the tour what we wanted. It felt like being shown around by a family friend, and we were so appreciative with how at ease and comfortable we felt the whole time.

Ireland is home to some of the nicest people I have ever met, and Flip was a perfect example of that. He was kind, enthusiastic, and just genuinely seemed to enjoy showing people around his beautiful home.

This tour was worth every penny, and I would recommend it, and have, to anyone who is making a trip to Ireland. You will not be disappointed, and are almost guaranteed to have it be the highlight of your trip.

Absolutely one of the Best Guided Tours we’ve ever been on! Flip has an amazing command of Irish history, geography, and Game of Thrones fun facts! He’s the real deal, having worked in and among the filming of GOT. All the locals know him and sing his praises. Flip is not only knowledgeable, he’s fun, engaging and gracious. He hosted us to a fabulous day of site seeing the GOT filming spots and other regional points of interest. He kept a group of 5 (with an age range of 70-years old to 22-months) thoroughly entertained. A splendid experience. We all Highly Recommend spending a day on his tour. Time well spent. We loved it!

I had the best day with Flip. It will be a day I will remember forever. Flip makes the day fun and takes you off the beaten road where big tour buses can't go. I really enjoyed all the interesting things Flip told me about Ireland that I did not know. It felt more like a day out with a friend than just a "tour"!! We recently spent several days in Ireland, Northern Ireland, England, and Scotland and our time spent with Flip was for sure the highlight of our trip. Flip was knowledgeable, personable, flexible, and fun. In my line of work we are very focused on surprising and delighting our clients and I feel like Flip did this at every turn. His vehicle was spotless and comfortable and I really felt like he added little touches along the way that made our experience memorable. I can't recommend this enough if you want to head outside the city and see more of what Northern Ireland has to offer. I didn't just have a great experience, I feel like a made a friend. Flip was honestly an incredible tour guide and human being! He showed us some incredible places and we met some wonderful people while on his private tour! He has a deep passion for the Game of Thrones (I mean, he was in it for God's sake) and for Ireland, the country in which he was born and lives in. He gave us deep insight on the making of the show, how scenes were filmed, and how it has shaped Ireland.

He gave us history tours and how settlements came to be and how Ireland has evolved over the centuries of its existence.

We would certainly go back to Ireland just to have Flip tour us around the beautiful countryside again! Spending our whole day with him was a definite highlight of our entire trip. He acted as if we had known him for ages and treated us like family!

We had the most magical day out with Flip in the glorious sunshine on Saturday, exploring the exquisite beauty of the Causeway Coast💚 Flip is quite literally the perfect tour guide. He knew exactly what we were interested in seeing and his wonderful stories and anecdotes kept us entranced! He has such a gentle, kind manner and is incredibly thoughtful. Flip pointed out the Game of Thrones locations with such enthusiasm, it was infectious! Flip took us to Ursor Minor for coffee and cake which was such a delight. Lunch at the amazing Farmshop was the perfect choice! All in all a day we will all cherish in our memory banks. Flip was so generous with his time, we were out the whole day and returned home in the evening buzzing from this special experience. Thank you Flip!
