We had a great family kayaking trip in a tranquil setting. During the trip, we saw an abundance of seals who kept an inquisitive distance and a variety of different sea birds. We kayaked around the bay from Sheildaig lodge and on to Badachro. Fraser was a great guide and instructor, offering interesting facts about the area and wildlife. We also tasted seaweed. He was clear in his instructions to make the whole experience safe and enjoyable. Our teenage boys had a great time in their own kayaks and my husband and I partnered up in a double kayak. Would recommend to others and do again.

My wife and I had a great time out with Fraser - I am dyspraxic so things like this are difficult for me, but at all times I felt safe, well looked after and most importantly thoroughly enjoyed it.

We stopped a number of times on the way round so Fraser could give us some insights into local wildlife, life and geology.

All in all a lovely afternoon.

We had a wonderful few hours on the water with Fraser - in spite of waves and a bit of rain! We saw lots of seals, birds and colourful jellyfish as well as tasting some seaweed and learning about the local area.

Just wow!

What an amazing experience.
Fraser (our guide) was friendly and knowledgeable he immediately made us feel safe and at ease. Fraser had spades of interesting local facts on our journey and also found us a Jellyfish we could hold and see up close which was very special.

The views were stunning and the wildlife definitely showed up for us! Birds, Seals and Jellyfish.

I'm a photographer very interested in photographing the islands of Loch Maree. Not being an expert I booked a day one-to-one with Gairloch Kayak Centre. Fraser was my guide and I had a perfect day. Fraser knew that I wanted to explore and let me make choices on where to go, and came up with suggestions when and as seemed appropriate. Fraser was very friendly but also gave me plenty of space to explore. The day was perfect and I could recommend this to anyone! I'd definitely use them again. philip_wilson_photonomy

For anyone looking to explore the western coast of Scotland, I couldn’t recommend Gairloch Canoe and Kayak Centre more. Fraser was an excellent tour guide, ensuring everyone felt safe, while providing insight into the local flora and fauna surrounding Gariloch’s coast (while also throwing some good humor in there). I enjoyed getting to meet the other guests on the tour and overall had a lovely experience that will most likely bring me back to Gairloch one day.
