Following an accident where a car reversed into my front p/s wing area a few weeks ago, I had the car repaired at GB Flint Coachworks, Long Eaton - as suggested through my insurance and I can’t recommend them enough !! They were brilliant from the start - friendly but professional, provided a loan car, kept me informed throughout, and did an excellent job repairing my car!! Hopefully I won’t need them again but wouldn’t hesitate to go back there in a jiffy !! Thank you 🙂

In my case, someone reversed into my car. Initially, I was introduced to this paint repair shop by my car dealer. I thought the original factory would introduce a reputable and professional service to me. But I was very disappointed. When they first inspected it, I told them that I am not a professional and you must give me a quote for all the damaged parts. However, they had no problem delivering the car to me after they completed the painting. But after a month of rainy weather, my headlights started to fog up. I told them that it was caused by disassembling some parts during maintenance. But it's not their responsibility that they keep pushing back. I think I know from this experience that if I have the same painting installation in the future, I will never choose this company.

Had my Golf repaired here after an accident and they did an amazing job! Couldn't look any better. If there are any issues after the repair they will stick with and sort it out. I initially had an issue with wind noise coming from my door after it was replaced. In the end they were able to identify where this sound was coming from and sort it.

Repair that day I already told them checking carefully, I say bumper and sensor please make sure back to original. They charge me ￡2xxx pickup my car was around three months, the sensor already damaged. I am very disappointed this company is my original car shop provide for me. I can't believe there is no professionalism at all.

I took my car in a while back for some bodywork repairs after and accident. When I got the car back, it was like a new car. They had made an absolutely perfect job. They were courteous and professional and kept me updated on the progress nearly every day. I even had cause to return it to them for an suspected engine fault that they had not been dealing with. They even provided me with a complimentary courtesy car whilst they looked into it and I felt my car was very safe in their hands. I cannot recommend them enough.

Personally, I wouldn't recommend this place. In June 2019, I took my car to this garage for some bodywork repair after a non-fault accident where someone reversed into me. Their turn around was pretty good (about 2 weeks), but the work was fairly sub-par to be honest. Not only did the car come back to me with bad orange peel on the bonnet (pictured), but they also snapped my plastic engine cover and didn't even bother to replace it (also pictured). After initially picking my car up, I brought it back to have the orange peel sorted as I wasn't happy with it, which they kindly obliged. However, it wasn't until a few months later where I discovered the broken engine cover. I hadn't touched it either in that time, so it has to have been from this garage (obviously this can't be verified after all this time though).

I appreciate the lateness of this review, since my experience was almost 5 years ago now, but seeing my still broken engine cover yesterday made me realise I'd never posted it, and I think it's still worth mentioning. Let's hope they've improved over the last 5 years or so.

Have been using GB Flint for insurance and private work for last 5 years and the quality of repairs long term is outstanding. They don't use cheap clear coat as finish on paint remains mirror like after many years. Solid work plus the staff give great advice and work hard to get great results. I personally haven't seen a body shop that can match their customer service and workshop standards.
