Pre-booked a taxi to get to the railway station. It was only dispatched 15 minutes after it should have arrived at our house, so we missed the train, and we are travelling to Bristol airport so needed to be on time. Had tried calling but the phone lines were closed at the time. Would have been able to arrange a different taxi earlier if they had just told me they couldn't provide the taxi on time.

The majority of the drivers are fantastic, very friendly and polite. This review is not a reflection of those drivers. If you need a taxi right now, and it’s the middle of the day or early evening, then calling the office or using the app is great. You get tracking on the app for your driver and notifications when they are dispatched/closeby. This is the reason for 2 stars. However, any pre-bookings - I’m talking booking the next day, week, or month, anytime that it is not the same day, they just won’t turn up. I have had pre-bookings for airport runs where the driver hasn’t turned up for 30 mins and when you call to check you can tell you’ve woken him up. I’ve had bookings for Sunday’s to get to work as no public transport where the booking gets cancelled a few minutes after the booking time with no explanation or contact from the company. If you try to call the office there is no call forwarding, so the line just beeps out. I personally won’t be using them again or recommending them to anyone who wants a reliable service.

Called lots of taxi companies on a Sunday and Frankies were the only ones who could pick up ASAP. Had a lovely, friendly driver. Professional service. Would highly recommend.

The two star rating is for the Taxi turning up on time and the driver being friendly. However, I only came from Kingskerswell to Buckland and it cost £20.00. I've never been charged that much by any other taxi company for that distance, in fact I had a taxi from Cockington to Buckland and dropped friends off at Kingskerswell on the way last weekend and it only cost £22.00. Not sure how Frankies work their prices out but I won't be using them again.

I booked a taxi on Sunday, through their app, for the following Saturday evening, everything was confirmed and it came up as scheduled on the app. I didn't receive an email confirmation, so I messaged on the Monday to check that it was booked, no reply. I then check the app on Wednesday and it says its cancelled! I've had no communication to tell me it's cancelled, I wouldn't have known if I hadn't gone on the app.
When I rang them to find out what's happened, they had no record, apparently, of my booking! He then said he'd book another one, put me on hold, came back and said he couldn't get hold of the driver needed for our trip and he'd ring me back. Which he did, but I had decided I don't trust them at all and don't want to rebook.
I won't be using them again. Awful "service".

Booked a taxi for 11 and they didn’t show up for 40 minutes. When we rang up, they told us the car had broken down but they didn’t tell us the two times we rang up before then and then offered nothing but an apology. Would have been nice to be told that we weren’t getting our taxi rather than waiting for nearly an hour and calling up multiple times to be lied to. Not sure how people can rely on this company for doctors appointments or train journeys with this level of service.

My experience of using Frankies was perfect. The exact vehicle turned up that I needed, the driver was friendly, chatty, perfect gentleman, very helpful and courteous. Very pleased with the service I received today.

VERY BAD SERVICE Had a 6 seater taxi booked for 11:30pm, Saturday night, 11:45 we rang the Frankies to ask where the taxi was? was told someone else had took our taxi, a taxi was on the way and will be with us in 10 minutes, we rang 2 further times, taxi arrived at approx 12:30, we were a group of 4 adults and 1 child, we had to wait in the cold because the fuction venue had locked up and was situated in the countryside. Plus we were charged more than we were quoted.
