I reached out to Foxtons back in June with the intention of listing my flat, but no one ever came back to me. Months later I then received a couple of letters in the post from them to my property listed addressed to “the owner” which they had sent seeing I had advertised, they were suggesting I contact Foxtons if I didn’t get enough interest in viewings with my current agent, which was frustrating, as I had already tried and been ignored.

I did then email the operations director of sales who’s name was signed at the bottom of one of the letters, and he didn’t bother to acknowledge my email.

If they couldn’t be bothered to reply to an email from someone looking to list a property, I would have little faith in how they would handle potential buyers enquiring about my property

We viewed an unsold auction property in Watford. The auction company gave us a clear indication of the available price, and we submitted our offer accordingly. However, each time we made an offer, the seller kept increasing the price, and eventually, the auctioneer told us the property had been withdrawn from auction.

Shortly after, I noticed the property listed by Foxtons. I called them and submitted my offer again. From the conversation, it became clear that there was some unresolved issue between Foxtons and the auction company. Regardless of their internal disagreements or who arranged the viewing, this should not have affected us as potential buyers. We were genuinely interested and made a serious offer.

Dan from Foxtons told me he would pass my offer to the seller. However, for over a month, I was told repeatedly that the seller could not be reached. I followed up nearly 10 times during this period. Strangely, today I found out via Zoopla that the property has been sold. Dan claimed he had tried to call me but couldn’t reach me, which is simply not true. I had been waiting for their call every single day, and I personally called them several times, even informing his colleagues to follow up.

It is now clear to me that they were not willing to sell the property to us and possibly never passed our offer to the seller. Additionally, the tone on the phone was unprofessional. Asking a client things like “Are you the one from the auction blah blah blah?” is simply inappropriate and disrespectful.

This experience and the level of mismanagement are not what one would expect from a reputable company like Foxtons.

I had an appointment to see the house with Orrin Adae - Mensah I asked him if I need to pay extra money to get my house he said no I told him fine then I want my house he said to send him the necessary documents and the deposit for the house I sent it I asked him the house is mine he said yes it is yours you can look for a nursery for your son I found it I paid for it and everything is fine, he came and told me that I can't have the house without any explanation I just can't have the house. He left me and my child out while I have a week to find a house and I have to move out of my old house and they don't care about anything they work people without being okay with the customer . I call them many times to give me a answer they said I will call you back never call me back

I was looking for my first property to buy and worked with 3 different agencies. I can confidently say that Imagine were the best agency that I worked with. Everyone at this company were very efficient and professional. As a first time buyer it was quite an overwhelming process and most agencies care more for the seller than the buyer, but Imagine were very supportive and helpful. Sadly, Imagine were not responsible for the listing I chose to buy. I want to extend my thanks to Paul and Dan specifically, who spent a lot of time helping me find my dream property. Hopefully I will get to work with them in the future!

They have tried to help us with the letting. Unfortunately we couldn’t find a home through Foxtons this time but they were trying to find a place that ticked all the boxes for us, which is really appreciated.
