Our four-day stay at Forest Holidays in the Brecon Beacons was the perfect little getaway for me and my husband. The lodge was pure luxury—spacious, beautifully designed, with a huge bath, a massive shower, and our favourite part: the private Jacuzzi, perfect for relaxing under the stars. The amenities were excellent, and we loved the eco-friendly touches, like the sustainable shower gels and shampoos. It was also reassuring to know that Forest Holidays is a certified B Corporation, showing real care for the planet.||The staff were so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable—especially when it came to recommending walking trails. We were given detailed maps, and even out on the trails there were people to help guide you and make sure you felt confident in where you were going. The waterfall walk was an absolute highlight—truly breathtaking.||We also really enjoyed the quiz night one evening, which was such fun and added a lovely social touch to the trip. And just before we left, we were surprised with a sweet little card and some chocolates from the team thanking us for staying—a thoughtful gesture that made the experience even more special.||One of the highlights was the incredible waterfall walk—it was simply breathtaking. A truly relaxing and thoughtful escape in a stunning part of the world.||A truly memorable and relaxing escape—we’ll definitely be back!

Having just returned from a mini break, I have to say staying here was just lovely. It’s an incredible location with beautiful walks and views.|We had a welcome drink on arrival and the staff were pleasant and very helpful. The food and service in the cafe was also first class.|The accommodation was spacious and comfortable. The only criticism I have was that the floors were quite mucky and the windows needed a clean (previous guests had written messages on them).

Stayed here for 5 days for my joint hen do and it was absolutely amazing. On arrival we were greeted with a class of Prosecco and the staff were so informative and friendly. The cabin itself was in perfect condition and the hot tub was clean and extremely warm. Just want to say a special thank to Maddison who works there, she was so helpful with sorting everything! She even delivered us a free bottle of Prosecco to the cabin! If you are looking for somewhere outdoorsy, friendly and chilled all at the same time, then this is your place!

The cabin was clean, showers had good water pressure and beds were comfy. The deck was perfect for stargazing and watching the sunrise.
Only downside was that the barbecue and pizza oven were very dirty so we decided not to use them. Overall, fantastic experience will definitely be back.

Would highly recommend not hiring their bikes to use on site as they advertise - the site is not suitable for family bike rides. |Our son is a regular at BMX tracks and rides his bike well yet the loose stone on the roads and the plentiful pot holes make the road unsafe for all cyclists. One of us was going to fall off our hired bikes and it happened to be our son. He cut his knee and elbow quite badly.|We could no longer enjoy the cycling and hot tub holiday as we'd planned as our son had open wounds. We'd specifically booked here for those reasons as this was to celebrate our wedding just a few days prior. We could have booked somewhere significantly cheaper without a hot tub and bike hire should we have wanted to holiday in that way. We muddled through best we could but were glad to get home.|The staff at this site are exceptional. We wish we could write a separate review for the staff. We haven't come across such a friendly bunch of people in a very long time!! |What I will say is I think the walks on the site should be advertised rather than cycling. One of our family members has a disability which means he can't walk long distances therefore it wasn't ideal for us but we did go for a couple of walks, carrying him part way, and they were beautiful. Not an ideal holiday for us but could be for other families.

Stayed here 2weeks ago Absolutely lovely place to stay quiet which I like, reception staff brilliant very polite and helpful, the ranger is full of local infomation, plus the walks are nice and quiet, we stayed in cabin 10 really like this cabin as it is a hide away cabin, a pet friendly cabin super clean and did not smell of pets at all well done to cleaning staff . Lovely cafe and visitors centre and the views from cafe over reservoir are great. 100% looking at the stars on a clear night Absolutely breath taking just blown away with sight. A special thank you to Madison as she called at the cabins and asked if we needed anything at all and if all was ok .
Will return 110%to this site as we have visited 5 forrest sites, and this just gets to the top of our list but the others are great too.

Stayed here for the Xmas period (23-26th Dec) with my family. It was the 1st time for us for being away at Xmas and I had many doubts leading up to it but any questions I did have, I called up before and they were so helpful. The cabin we stayed in (3 bed) was amazing, we chose a valley view one and the views were amazing. A lovely welcome hamper was in the cabin when we arrived too and the Xmas tree was lovely and bigger than I expected. Lovely walks through the forest and even though all the cabins were booked up it was still so peacefull. All staff were lovely and helpful, nothing was too much effort for them. We loved it so much that before we left we actually went online and booked a bigger cabin(4 bed,2 storey) for next Xmas. Looking forward to our next visit. Perfect

Absolutely fantastic. We are currently in a white Willow premium lodge and desperately DON’T want to go home tomorrow!
We’ve been to a few different Forest Holiday locations and this one is up there with our favourite. The walks are spectacular and our two dogs have been spoilt rotten (the pup cups they’ve been given in the cafe are a lovely treat).
The cabin is beautiful, clean and spacious and the food has been excellent.
The pub quiz on Saturday night was great fun and a lovely atmosphere.
Also have to mention every member of staff we have met have been an absolute pleasure and genuinely seem to love working here.
Will definitely be back.
