Our first time at Delamere with forest holidays, we stayed in cabin 25, it was very updated and modern, very clean, and lots of nice touches left. Our hot tub was very private and was maintained daily. We had the most relaxing stay and didn’t hear a peep from anyone else. This is the best site I’ve visited. Brilliant service . There’s also so many lovely pubs in the area

Just got back from a Monday to Friday holiday here (two adults and our 4 year old) for my 40th birthday and couldn't have asked for more.|Check in only took a couple of minutes, then we went to our lodge (Silver Birch #8) and we were more than impressed with it. Considering it's the cheapest/most basic of the lodges you certainly don't feel like you've missed out by going for the cheaper option! Every room was immaculate, nice lighting, nice and warm etc, etc. Hot tub was amazing and we felt secluded enough to not have to worry about prying eyes.|We did The Gruffalo trail which isn't too far a drive from the park, and also Cheshire Oaks, or you can go on walks leading off the park itself. |Friendly staff in the shop/bar. Amazing surroundings.|The TV and WiFi went down on our first morning there. It was resolved by the time we came back from our walk mid-afternoon so no big deal there. And our heating and hot water also packed in one night but a quick call out later and it was fixed. |My only gripe (and it is only a small one) was the TV channels, or lack thereof. It's the only place we've ever stayed where you haven't got a full channel list. You've got channels 1-5 then a handful of Freeview channels. Not a massive deal. I also took my Playstation and a handful of Christmas dvds for us to watch at night but I couldn't access the HDMI ports in the TV as it was kind of built into the wall. Would have made the night times nice, but we did feel like we had to make do with whatever was on on the limited amount of channels available.|As soon as we got home I looked into booking the exact same week for next year, but I'm surprised to see that it's increased by £175 or so! Think I paid £400 altogether, and that was with early check in (albeit with a Blue Light discount of about £20, so I essentially got my early check in for free) but next year it's £575. Shame, because we'd definitely be looking to return, but at that price I can't really justify it. Either way, we had a great time and would definitely recommend staying here!

The staff in the forest retreat really made our holiday. Very friendly and loved our dog otis. They even treated us to extra food and cake for us on our anniversary. The cabin itself was a little bit rundown. The cooker had a chip in it, the wine cooler didn't work, the shower screen wouldn't straighten and the shower itself didn't have much pressure in it. Also they seemed to have changed the heating setup. Before u had a screen which u could alter different rooms, but now they have white plastic control buttons that weren't very user friendly. We were red hot through night, couldn't seem to get it to cool down. Apart from all that, we still had an amazing time. The site itself (roads) could def do with sorting out though. Potholes everywhere and when it rains the paths are like clay. Trying to clean your hairy dog before entering the cabin is not easy and the grey dust gets everywhere in the cabin. The walks out if the site are great, you can walk all the way to the delamere forest visitor centre from the site (around 50 mins) which is really nice. Overall we really enjoyed our time here, and would return for the staff alone.

The mile long dirt track is very bumpy so be careful and you won’t leave with a clean car. The staff are very nice, there’s a little bar/restaurant onsite, you can hire bikes.
The lodges are lovely and warm, open plan kitchen diner, nice lounge , the bedrooms are good tho my bed wasn’t comfortable and was too hard.
The outside space is great for dining, there a bbq and a hot tub

Great stay with the family.
Cabins are fantastic, love the underfloor heating and the hot tub.
Could try and fill in some of the potholes up the road as it gets worse every year.

Staff in the cafe all friendly and the Avo Eggs were great.
Nice selection in the shop if a little expensive.

My daughter loves the little park by the cafe especially the treehouse.

Weekend away Friday to Monday. 2 adults and a dog. ||We have stayed in the area a few times over the years as we use to go camping but have now been doing lodge holidays instead. The area is great for walking, lots of dogs and families. In Delamere Forest there is a visit centre cafe and toilets. ||The drive up to the lodges is a road you would expect in the forest so do drive very slowly. Check in was quick and there is a shop with all basic essentials you may need. This is always where the restaurant is. We didn’t go in here so can’t comment. ||There is parking for your car right outside the lodge and steps up to the door. There are recycling bins dotted about aswell (no plastic bin bags in the glass or mixed recycling bins) and the bins in the cabin are split out for you. ||I have added photo of all the things that are provided for you in the cabin as I always find it help to know what is actually provided before hand. ||The cabin was really cosy and cute and we would stay here again. We have actually booked the treehouse for next year with family. ||Plenty of space in the kitchen area for all of your things. We even brought our air fryer. I would maybe say bring your own frying pan and oven gloves has they weren’t the best. ||We had the fire starter kit for the log burner and this lasted us the 3 nights. The cabin was so warm with this which is great at this time of the year. The underfloor heating also works really well, you won’t be cold. ||We had no issues with any noise from anyone else staying here and also you can see other cabins there is privacy. ||We wanted a relaxed weekend and didn’t move the car and just went for walks with the dog all around Delamere Forest, this is really handy not having to get in the car and drive! ||We made sure we brought all food we needed for the weekend with us so we didn’t have to drive back out 15 mins to the shops. ||You do have to pay for a WiFi package to be able to sign into your Netflix account etc. this is the only thing that bugged me as this is the only place we have stayed where you have to do this and I personally think it’s on the pricy side especially because the cabins aren’t cheap to stay in either.

Today is our last day of a truly wonderful and relaxing week. We are staying in a White Willow cabin, and it is so comfy - has everything we need and was extremely clean when we moved in. The welcome last Friday was second to none - we were greeted at the door, and the dog was given a treat - we were guided to check in, which was pleasant and smooth. |The drive to the cabin was exciting - we are right in the depths of the forest - the road is bumpy, but we are in the heart of the forest! The consideration of the wildlife and fauna is impressive! All the cabns are on stilts, which means that the floor of the forest is damaged as little as possible.|All the staff we have spoken to on our walks or in the lovely cafe , or when cleaning the hot tub ,have been so friendly and informative. |We are in a dog cabin amd I love that the deck is fully enclosed so no worries when he is outside.|Eating out - we loved the local Chinese and the Fishpool Inn - both great food and service.|So it really has been perfect and we will definitely be back - thank you to all .

We had a brilliant stay here. We honestly didn’t want leave! We stayed in a Golden Oak cabin and it was perfect for us. It was spotless & really spacious. It was really quiet & peaceful and we honestly couldn’t hear anything apart from the sounds of the forest which was so relaxing. The hot tub was ready to use upon arrival and was checked and cleaned each morning by a member of the team. There was a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge and freezer. Would recommend paying for the premium wifi as allows access to more movies etc. We did bring a PS5 with us also which was really easy to connect. If you are bringing a gaming console there is a separate wifi password which reception are able to provide. ||We ordered dinner one night from the Forest retreat and it was delicious and delivered straight to our cabin! We also took a trip to a local pub ā€˜The Fishpool Inn’ which was really lovely and the food was great. We would recommend that you book a table if you do want to visit as it’s very popular & gets very busy. It was about a 15 minute drive from the site or you could walk if preferred. ||There is lots of different walking trails around the forest and lots of activities you can book to do if you wish. ||There is a forest retreat on site which you can buy food & drinks from (it is only small and sells mostly essentials). There is also a little gift shop inside. You can eat & drink at the retreat. ||The road into the site is full of pot holes so would advise just to be careful when driving in especially if in a lower car! ||If you are looking for somewhere to completely switch off & unwind we couldn’t recommend more! We will 100% be coming back and already looking forward to our next stay!
