Hugo and the team provided an exceptional hot air ballooning experience. I immediately felt welcomed as a solo guest and bonded well with the rest of the group. We were quickly airborne with minimum faffing around, and coasted over Bath on a gentle wind. Hugo was chatty and engaging throughout, and created a sense of fun, especially for two of the guests whose birthday it was. The landing was gentle and effortless, and we all enjoyed a glass of champagne or G&T in the field afterwards. I’d previously experienced a Virgin balloon ride a few weeks prior which was much larger - Hugo’s trip felt more personable and luxurious. The quality of the takeoff site, the wicker basket itself, Hugo’s conversation, the post-ride drinks and Mercedes taxi that picked us up, all made for a much more enjoyable experience.

We went on a trip on Sunday. It was absolutely fascinating. From watching how they set it up, to the flight itself to packing the ballon alway in a big bag and putting it on the back of a trailer. I loved every moment. The landing was gentle and the basket didn’t tip over. We saw some beautiful sights. Hugo flew low at points so we could see below In great detail. We saw dears, and a fox hunting some pheasants.
To top it off I had a lovely glass of champagne at the end. Fantastic job! Hugo, Scott and the team were brilliant. There is something special about seeing a ballon in the sky that makes people smile. It was lovely to wave to people as we floated above. I highly recommend Fly Away Ballooning. Thank you so much for giving us such an incredible experience that we will never forget. Linda & Joe

We hired a private basket to celebrate my mother’s 90th, and were treated to an exhilarating and unforgettable experience! The feeling and views of Bath from the balloon were amazing. Hugo and the team were relaxed and professional which made for an stress-free flight, especially when the champagne was cracked after landing! Fully recommended.

My husband and I wanted to do something special to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. So, we booked a balloon flight. We were picked up from our house (and took back home - as we had a 'mid air tipple'). The inflation (and deflation) of the balloon was great fun. As soon as the basket was upright we jumped in. We went over Longleat, then on to Mere. The weather was absolutely perfect. What a fantastic experience, although a little expensive, especially if you do a couples only ride.

Wonderful trip around Bath experiencing beautiful views with clear skies. The Pilot Hugo was knowledgeable of the area and entertaining us throughout and He made us feel very safe and comfortable when coming into land. The team on the ground was fantastic in assisting with the take off and landing. We even had a glass of champagne afterwards and heard all of the stories of his families adventures in their ballooning heritage!
10/10 would recommend to anyone looking to see the world from above. 🎈
