Really helpful and friendly service from all.

This was my first time using a ferry since being a drunk uni student on the annual ski trips 2008-2011. This time I had a car load of my wife’s clothes and my son’s toys.

Fishguard Ferry port may not dazzle, but boy, does it exist—and it does so with quiet competence. The parking is ample, the signage is legible, and the coffee is... present. No dolphins, no drama—just ferries that show up, leave roughly on time, and don’t sink.

The staff are friendly in a "my shift ends in 11 minutes" kind of way, actually they were very nice, and the waiting area has exactly the number of chairs you’d expect: enough, but not a single one more. I even saw a seagull politely poo on a motorhome. That’s the vibe.

If you want mild adventure and want a port that’s just solidly fine, Fishguard is your port.

Very calm and friendly. Cleanest public toilets of any port I have visited. Beats Dover, Newhaven, Dieppe and Calais hands down.
