My partner and I have just secured the unmarried partner visa under the guidance of Dean with the "Expert checking service".

Our case was a bit tricky as we haven't been able to live together for two years. Even though the recent change in immigration rules deleted the mandatory requirement of two-year cohabitation, it's still quite risky to apply because the decision from case workers would be based on whether they perceive the relationship as genuine and subsisting if the cohabitation requirement is not met, which can be quite subjective.

However, the letter templates we received from First Migration before the checking service meeting, the guidance during the meeting with Dean, and the feedback afterwards have all been very helpful, which eased our mind a lot. I could tell Dean is very professional at what he does, from writing cover letter statement specifically for our case, providing details on how to arrange documents properly, to naming the files.

What a stressful 4 months we endured and there’s no way we would have gotten the result we wanted had it not been for Dean and Aga at First Migration!! These guys went over and above to get us our ILR. This is the third visa application they have done for us. After 2 successfull spouse visa applications it was time to apply for my wife’s ILR. Our case officer turned out to be a right jobsworth and didn’t fully understand how business work. 3 times we had to submit further information to satisfy the IMO but fair play to these absolute immigration warriors they pushed hard wrote all the right letters and got us the right result. These two humans are genuine good people who love nothing more than helping people get the results they need and deserve. I cannot recommend them enough they have gone over and above to help us for the last 5 years. Don’t bother wasting your time with others like I did before I came across FirstMigration. 10🌟!!!!

The reason behind the 1 star is mainly how I was spoken to via email and the little effort put in .
If you have a complicated case like mine then I don’t advise this company, they might be great if you have everything and just need help sending off but in my case I had some exceptional circumstances.
The most disturbing thing was being treated as a burden because of my circumstances.
I only hired a lawyer because I knew my application needed work to do, with them it is only a list of documents you need to prepare and they send off.
There was very little support and multiple times I was made to feel uncomfortable and worthless , a problem compared to “ all my clients never have this issue”. As a dental therapist student copying with the weight of the NHS dentistry placements but a compassion to help the British population I was surely not expecting to be made feel worthless .
When I signed up I thought all lawyers were meant to fight for their cases and for people because they believed in them instead I felt like a criminal simply because I lived the life of an international student moved from school to school and town to town so I never got to have a proper British settled connection.
I would say 2 weeks before my exam having to find a new lawyer that takes on difficult cases and fights for them wasn’t great at all .
I did not need the stress .
I don’t understand how can a lawyer treat someone like rubbish.
I for the first time felt unfit and unwanted in this country by the very first person meant to actually give me a safe space.
All I can say is if you have all your paperwork and your case is easy they are probably really good but if you are like me “ not like all my clinents” maybe look for a company willing to help you fight.
