A professional service from start to finish. Linda's communication was the best I have experienced for a holiday. Amazingly responsive and warm in her communications. Our time in Cairo including the luxury Kempiniski was fabulous and our guide Mohammed was amazing. Our time on the Dahabiya Dream felt like being part of one big family. Mahmoud is a champion of a host. Ahmed a legend of hieroglyphics. Joe, Aladeen, Mimi, Adam and all the fantastic crewman are a credit to the company and treated us like Royals. We will always remember our time on your boat as you truly gave us a trip of a lifetime. For anyone considering this company. You will certainly not regret it. We wanted to write you all a “thank you” letter after our wonderful Egypt holiday as we feel we were treated like honoured guests rather than paying clients. From our arrival in Cairo and trip to the Pyramids to the magical Dahabiya cruise and our stay in Luxor, everything surpassed our expectations (which were high!).
The star of the trip has to be the exquisite “Dream” and her crew. Nothing was too much trouble for any of them, from the unsurpassable Mahmoud, our superlative guides Mo and Ahmed and the magnificent crew. The food was amazing, and the perfect blend of the familiar and new things to try. Each meal was presented by Hassan the fabulous chef. We spent much of the cruise debating with our fellow passengers who would be taking him home with them at the end of the trip! Hamada was the perfect host, and knew how each of us liked our tea/coffee by the end of the first day.
The whole crew were a delight and always had smiles on their faces. Every detail was considered, even down to the human-held bannister for the gangplank! They certainly are the Dream Team!
We found the Egyptians to be delightful people, very caring and with a similar sense of humour to our own. We so hope their situation improves very soon.
It has been an absolute pleasure to deal with Explore, from our first enquiry to our return to the UK, and we’re saving up now for our next adventure with you.

Hats off to Explore Travel & Cruises for taking a brave step in helping to stop abuse of working horses and donkeys in Egypt. We had a great week on Dahabiya Dream but it was marred by the truly shocking treatment of carriage horses at Edfu Temple. Many are kept in poor condition in the hope that tourists will give the drivers more money which of course does not go on welfare. Many cultural and practical issues at this particular site but Explore has now pulled out of Edfu Temple and will take guests to Esna Temple nearby which is beautiful. Thanks to Linda and Mohamed for making this happen.

Hi Explore Travel and Cruises Team, We had a superb time thank you. We were treated as King and Queen which seems very apt considering the setting and as honoured guests of the “Dream”. From our side had absolutely no complaints and would compliment you and the whole team on a well thoughout and organised trip. The crew and support people right from airport greeting to the entire crew on the “Dream’ couldn’t have been more supportive to us and are a credit to you. Any details or requirements were met and they all always tried to go the extra mile for us. I guess we were also very lucky to meet up with other 3 other similar aged couples with a like mind set and we all got on fabulously well and I think this was part of the enjoyment of how we linked up as a group and as individuals with the crew members to enjoy each others company and experiences on the Nile. Really couldn’t have wished for anything more.. Mamoud and Sami did an excellent job and I wish to mention them in dispatches as for us the balance of the trip and the excursions were so tuned and so well thought out to maximise the visits to the temples, to avoid crowds and the heat of the day, coupled with some really lovely sailing under wind power. It was also quite entertaining and a joy to see the interaction with the support boat. It was like a “worker bee seeing to the needs of the Queen bee” to service the Dreams requirements. It was a joy to watch it played out during the trip and the skill of the people involved. The bird life was amazing and to get so close under wind power from the Dream was an unexpected bonus.Really wonderful well paced trip and my wife and I truely relaxed and both of us felt a real benefit from a well being and educational experience point of view.
