Me and my wife and our 2 rescue dogs had an amazing 2 night long weekend stay here at Exe Valley campsite. We really could not have been more impressed. The site is beautiful with the river Exe running one side and a fast flowing brook on the other side. There are pitches to suit everyone from all grass, hard standing and half hard standing, half grass which was great. If you travel with your furry friends they have a great dog walking area at the end of the campsite where your dogs can be let off the lead to run around and explore the trees and the river. Our first day there we were sat on one of the benches in the dog walk area watching a heron and other wild birds. There is plenty of information on site about the local area and local walks. The toilets and showers were always clean and warm. There is a laundry room where you can wash and dry your clothes (at a charge) and a clean and tidy washing up area. There is a dog friendly pub literally 4 minutes walk away from the campsite entrance that serves amazing home cooked food.|The campsite shop has everything you need for your camping trip, for your dogs and for you including lots of locally produced products. The staff there could not have been more helpful and friendly. I would say that this is one of the best sites we have ever stayed at. Obviously everyone has a different expectation and different requirements from their campsite, but this really worked for us.

A lovely site in a great location. There is some road noise in the day but it wasn't noticeable in our van overnight. Pitches are large and nicely spaced out. ||Our spaniel loved the dog walk and the river, it's spaniel heaven and it was nice and cool on the good weather we had. ||The facilities are high quality and kept very clean as is the site generally, it feels like a site where the owners want their guests to have a great stay. ||We were lucky enough to have a tour of the watermill which was fascinating. ||Tonia recommended the Anchor Inn at Exbridge, we went on BH Monday and had a lovely lunch sitting by the river. ||A lovely site, we will return

We have just returned from 2 nights at Exe Valley. What a lovely site. Check-in was easy, with comprehensive details & instructions for our stay. We had a lovely flat plot that backed onto the River Exe. The toilets and shower block are 100% regards facilities and cleanliness and the there is a small shop on-site with a surprisingly large range of stuff!! The Badgers Holt across the road is a nice pub with good food and nice, friendly staff. We went for a good 5.5 miles walk to Winsford and back and had a fabulous roast lamb roll in the Royal Oak. We will definitely be back, although next time we will bring a scooter (we have a motorhome, not a caravan) so we can explore the local area, there seems to be so much around. Would definitely recommend.

What a wonderful escape!!! Im new to camping but not to Exmoor.. This is a wonderful hidden retreat..perfect location by the river. Excellent facilities. Dog walk at the end of the site beautifully maintained...with access to the river so your dog can cool off and have a paddle.. all very secluded away from the world. ... Excellent facilities... immaculate !!!!!!!!!! Shop on site well stocked tbh you don't really need to move from the site.. a perfect peaceful retreat.

Stayed her for 2 weeks 5/7-19/7. We can honestly say this is the best site we've ever been to! Lovely welcome from Tonya and choice of pitch which was great. Plenty of gorgeous walks and villages with the beach within easy reach too. Grounds kept meticulous by the friendly hard working staff. Pitches massive with all services including WiFi. Thank you Exe Valley we were sad to leave but will be definitely returning! Damien, Jackie, Skye abd Bruno. X

Exe Valley is a stunning, peaceful site. Booked for 1 week and ended up staying for 2. Beautiful setting and extremely well maintained. Bonus was the fabulously well stocked on-site shop selling local produce. Freshly baked breads ,scones, local cheeses/ meats and everything you need for a camping trip. |Nothing too much trouble for Tonia ( owner) & staff. Beautiful quaint towns and villages a short drive away,|Dulverton, Dunster ( fabulous castle), Watchet ( take a ride on the steam train) and Porlock Weir. |So happy we found this site and although a long haul for us we can’t wait to return.

We spent a lovely week on this site. We received a warm welcome and a cup of coffee on our arrival. All pitches have the mill stream and river Exe running past them. It certainly is a tranquil site, although there is some road noise. All facilities are as expected. We had an issue with one of our car tyres the day before we were due to leave, and the on site staff were extremely helpful on that day and the following one, which gave us as stress free 'pack up' as was possible. We will definitely return.

Not much more to say other than one of the nicest sites we have been to. Great area, good inn within walking distance. Facilities good and clean. Fully serviced pitches, tv hook connection.
