Be careful when booking. Due to an unexpected change in my circumstances, I no longer require transport from an event I that I plan to ride next month. When I tried to cancel I was informed that there was a no refund policy if cancelling within 8 weeks of an event.

Booking very easy & information received promptly. Eventually caught bus from South Mimms to Bayonne. Comfortable seats in a modern air conditioned bus with an extremely hard working, self-employed steward. Meal orders taken, micro-waved & served efficiently & the food tasted like it was home cooked. Had a laugh on the way down with him and some of the other passengers.Opportunities to walk around when loading/unloading and with a few 30 minute stops in addition. Ferry trip gave me another couple of hours to stretch.
It's hard being on coach for up to 24 hours and I made the mistake of getting straight on my bike. Most of the others booked into an hotel to recover before they started their cycling which I would certainly recommend.
Altogether, great value for money, bike secure & undamaged with a happy chappy and food thrown in.
Bike-Express also found & kindly returned my sunglasses to me - THANK YOU.

The EBE service looks really good. Was thinking of cycling in the Pyrenees/Basque area and that could be a good way of getting pretty close. Also good to get you to the Rhine /Mulhouse which could be another good base. All Covid dependent now of course.
