Pathetic service. Insurance organised a hire car whilst mine was repaired. the insurance co was aware of what Europcar is like and as such advised me to ring them at the start of the week to ensure they was going to honour the booking. I called them on the Monday and they advised me the car would be with me 9.00am on Wednesday. After arranging work around this, it never turned up. When I phoned to see where it was, I was told it was now coming midday Thursday. Rearranged work, cancelled appointments and lost money to accommodate. When it come to collection, refused to collect from my place of work so arranged for car to be left at home and somebody have the keys to handover on the Friday. This was arranged with Europcar directly and they even texted to say they would be there between 2 and 4. Long and short, they never turned up again and the car is still sitting there. Oh and probably spent several hours hanging around listening to recorded messages just to get to speak to someone to unsuccessfully arrange drop off and collection.

On holiday from Australia, called the Tamworth branch and booked a car for 28 days. They cancelled the booking 15 minutes later due to lack of stock. It will take up to 10 days to get our money back. So, we are $2000 down with no car. Couldn't get through to ask if another type of car was available and if it was the same thing could happen again, according to the main telephone number.

Wouldn't even give them one star if I could, they make you wait all day without collecting the car. No contact, do not answer their phones and expected to be available when they are ready to collect despite me telling the third party I am going on holiday and scheduling collection 2 days in advance. Always short staffed always excuses do not use them via your insurers or for personal use. believe the negative reviews incompetent global company. I have been trying to call them since 09.am its now 4pm so they will have to be available on my time to collect the car. Also blocking my drive as my car has been repaired and returned. Get some staff to collect your vehicles and answer phones very simple recruitment would help you. Mind you I would not work for them.

After being let down by another rental firm, Europcar managed to get me a SUV sorted in less than 2 days and the cost was very reasonable.

The staff on the desk were very nice to talk, concise and professional on pick up and drop off.

The car was clean and well maintained.

Overall I will be going back regularly.

Terrible. AVOID - Just pure scamming - say there is a vehicle ready for you when there isn’t. Don’t answer phones, rude to customers and racist against us for being white.

Tamworth Branch is not the first time I’ve had multiple issues with. I have been spoken to poorly. I ended up being charged for storage fees when I once had a mobility hire car from them then they charge me multiple times on my card. Also they gave me three dodgy vehicles one what could’ve endangered my life and my partner’s life at my children’s the brakes didn’t work. The windscreen wipers didn’t work. I had to keep stopping off to clean the window then I got given another vehicle with four bold tyres, then I’ve got given another vehicle with the SOS kicking in which then alerted the police now I’ve asked to see if they had any automatics they told me they don’t at all but then all of a sudden, the manager is lying to mobility and to customer services saying that she offered me an automatic. All the staff in this branch are rude arrogant and not got no customer servicing. If I was a normal paying customer I would’ve got given a vehicle today but because I am a mobility customer I am looked down on this is not fair and I think it’s disgraceful how you treat your mobility customers. We are still paying customers and you still treat us like we are scum.

So many issues with this company. I didn't want to even put 1star The customer services have no communication with the branch which led to so many problems. I paid for a deposit and week and was promised a new car when I got to the branch they said there was no car ready and I was on a watch list so couldn't take another one out. I live in Leicester the branch was Tamworth. So they wanted to leave me stranded. they then said they were calling the police. Absolute joke. The watchlist was because of a 40pound parking charge at asda. The tills we're down and I ended up leaving the carpark 12:05pm. The issue was sorted with asda and the fine was paid but Europcar chose to treat me like this. That was just one of the issues. They should of never took a the payment if I was on watch list
