I had an extremely frustrating experience with Euro Car Swansea and would not recommend them under any circumstances.We originally booked and paid for a family-sized car to fit two adults, three children with car seats, and all our luggage. Instead, we were given a tiny Fiat 500, which was completely useless for our needs. When we called to address this, we were told we’d be upgraded to the car we actually paid for the next day. That never happened.To resolve things, we offered to drive to other Euro Car locations, including Cardiff, to swap the car. We were told it was possible, only to later be told it wasn’t. After hours of being passed around on the phone, we were finally told there was nothing they could do.We then told them we’d return the car and asked for a refund, as the car we received was completely unsuitable. Despite paying more for a larger car that we didn’t get, the staff at Euro Car Swansea refused to offer any kind of refund. The woman we dealt with was extremely rude and adamant that no refund would be given, even though we paid for a full week and clearly didn’t get what we were promised.To make matters worse, we had to cancel our family trip because the Fiat 500 was far too small to accommodate all of us and our luggage. Our children were devastated because we couldn’t make the trip work, and we were left feeling completely ignored and disrespected by the staff.Overall, this was a horrible experience with terrible customer service. The way we were treated, especially by the lady working at the Swansea location, was unprofessional and downright rude. We will never use Euro Car again and would strongly advise others to avoid it.

I needed to hire a car for a few days while mine was in the garage. This was the first time I'd hired a car and the whole experience with Europcar was great. I booked the hire car via their website, which was pretty straightforward. When it came to collect the hire car, the staff was very helpful and friendly and went through the workings of the car, which was so lovely to drive with all mod cons. I didn't want to give it back! I did, of course, and that was hassle free as well. I would highly recommend Europcar.

I am disappointed as I made reservations for a ride with a child car seat. It was neither provided nor the excess charges for the sit refunded.

I did report that the car has bumps and a few scratches on and since I had a premium cover, I was told to just take pictures and go ahead with using the vehicle.

To my surprise, it was stated that the car rented to me had ā€œNo previously damages recordedā€ which is untrue. Even tho I wasn’t charged as I got cover, putting the damage on my record is no fair

I rented a Seat Leon for a week while my own car was in the garage. Right away, I noticed scratches and marks—especially on the rear right tyre—which I photographed with the staff member present.

As soon as I left the lot, the car displayed a low tyre pressure warning. Since it was a hot day and the error cleared after a reset, I assumed it was nothing serious (big mistake). The next day, the warning returned, this time showing the rear right tyre specifically. I pulled over, confirmed the tyre was low, and tried refilling it at two different garages. Both times, it wouldn’t inflate.

I called Europcar, who told me to head to the nearest KwikFit. A mechanic friend later told me the likely reason for the tyre not inflating: the tyre had previously been filled with puncture sealant instead of being properly repaired. KwikFit ended up replacing the tyre, and I continued my rental without issue.

When I returned the car, the staff said everything was fine. Weeks later, I was billed Ā£490 for ā€œdamage sustained.ā€ I disputed it, but Europcar claimed the car had been in ā€œgood conditionā€ before hire. I reluctantly paid. Then, two months later, the same day I'm writing this review in fact, I received another bill for Ā£189—again for the same tyre.

This feels like blatant unfairness and an attempt to charge me twice for the same issue. The only reason I gave two stars instead of one is because the initial staff member who served us was genuinely friendly and helpful.

A word of advice to anyone deciding to hire a vehicle, photograph everything and immediately let the hire company know when something has gone wrong or if something feels out of place otherwise you'll be ~Ā£700 out of pocket.

I would rate a zero but had to put at least a star.

Terrible customer service. Tried to sort a courtesy car through motability, they didn't want to know and fed nothing but lies and BS. I highly recommend you avoid them at all costs and use a different branch or agency.

Just went to collect car after doing all checks all paid for was offered aldi q5 as upgrade as soon as I walked in for extra £40 declined offer then they said we just need license to run some extra checks and declined me from hiring car DO NOT USE if you are going anywhere important really bad customer service nothing ready staff were all over the place

Friendly team, well priced and the only place in Swansea you can return a car on Sundays. It’s a 10-minute taxi ride to get there from the station so those costs need to be added on.
