Not impressed. Paid for a big van, got a medium sized one, with no reduction in cost. Paid for an insurance package that reduced my excess to £415, then got told my excess was £2000 plus and had to but more insurance. Screen wash bottle was empty on collection. Staff did fill it up, but alarm on dash still showed. Further investigation showed a leak that drained the fluid right out of the bottom of the tank. The staff appear to be doing their best but I get the impression that they would benefit from training and inspirational management. Key fob was held together by sellotape.

Car delivered early so couldn't check for damage, they got my son to sign for it despite saying it could only be signed for by me and they needed to see my driving licence. (I could have had it a day earlier and not been without a car if I'd known they would do that).
Been charged for fuel when it was as full as it could be and also had 1/8th of a tank missing when delivered.

I rented a car from here in November 2024. And although the car was in great nick, and the follow up customer service was brilliant, the initial interaction left me with a sour taste in my mouth.

I turned up 5 minutes early and a lady politely greeted me. I said I was early and was happy to wait but she said she would open my booking for me. She took quite a little while to get going with it and by the time I left the premises and drove off in their vehicle it was 15 minutes after my stated appointment time.

During the process of checking the vehicle out this lady told me I had to pay another £100 for insurance. I told her this wasn’t relevant and she kept telling me that I’d need it otherwise I wouldn’t be covered. I told her I’d purchased insurance but she wasn’t having any of it. I got my original booking up on my emails and showed her. After this, she backed down.

When I got home and saw the documents I’d noticed extra charges that would be applied at the end of the booking and couldn’t fathom what they were for.
Looking into this in more detail I’d noticed these were due to the check in process starting THREE minutes before my scheduled time.
I called the branch back and explained that I’d only sat down to wait inside from the freezing November cold and had stated that I was happy to wait but the lady insisted she would start the process. She didn’t notify me of any extra charges for not waiting a few more minutes.

Luckily the person who I spoke to apologised and removed the charges with immediate effect and the process to return the vehicle was a lot simpler and quicker.

Unfortunately for the two reasons about being charged extra and her trying to resell me insurance I already had, I’ve had to remove 2 stars.

Booked a 1.0 focus online while my car was being repaired, got given a free upgrade to a 1.5 MG HS. Whole process was simple and staff are very friendly especially David! Will definitely use again as/when I need them.

People stay away ! Look out for them.
I have been robbed and lied by this branch.
After I have returned the vehicle I’ve been charged additional 150 pounds for nothing ! Now they are saying that price have been quoted wrong on the beginning and one week after I returned vehicle they charge me 150 more! Been told contact customer service about it and they said they can’t help me with that and don’t give a f about that… I’m very disappointed with service and dodgy quote. Never again !

VERY VERY BAD COMPANY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. I booked a medium car online for a customer, he turned up to collect the car they gave him a Fiat 500 when I booked an Astra size or similar car, called customer care that confirmed that they’ve given the customer a car 2 grades lower than what I paid for. ALSO they want £700 deposit because the booking wasn’t made directly through them, I agree to pay the deposit THEY REFUSED TO TAKE PAYMENT OVER THE PHONE OR BY BANK TRANSFER. CLEARLY SOMONE WORKING ON 01/03/25 WANTED TO RUIN EVERYONES DAY, I have a business to run and don’t have time for nonsense company. I would never us this company again they’re disgusting and don’t have a clue how to deal with customers!

Great services. Car was brilliant, clean. Its
works 😌. I definitely hire again. Cheapest in Hull and offers £12 a day insurance to reduce your excess to £0. If u have a accident or anything its covered.

Not happy with the increase of £25 a week due to insurance and greedy government 🙄

Charged to refuel when I had already done it. Van wouldn’t lock and 30 minutes at pick up because key wouldn’t work. Lady serving was lovely and most apologetic. Will never use Europcar again.
