I was let down by Enterprise so tried EuropCar. They were able to provide me with a large, automatic SUV that morning. Staff were very helpful and polite, I can't fault their customer service. The cars are no frills but they get me from A to B to C which is what I needed and were reasonably priced. When I returned the car I realised I'd left some items in the boot but they were kept and I was able to retrieve them no problem. Good to know there's another option for car hire.

This is the best car rental experience I have ever had. The staff were very friendly and professional, the vehicle we had ordered wasn't available so we were upgraded. Great vehicle and at a great price. The vehicle was like new, check in and check out was a breeze.

I rented a car a few weeks ago from Cardiff Roath and the service was amazing. The lady at the desk was absolutely lovely and very helpful. I always get nervous hiring cars but was very satisfied with this service and would use Europcar again for sure. Thank you!

Great customer service, hired a van on the weekend. If after 1pm, Drop the van and post key to the post box anytime after. Parking for your car on the same estate. Brand new vans, the Peugeot doesn't look big but it can get quite a lot in.

When I returned the vehicle, I was informed that everything was in order. However, I was later charged for additional fuel. I had filled the tank until the pump automatically stopped, and then drove less than a mile to return the vehicle. Given this, I believe there is no valid reason for the extra fuel charge.

Had an issue with the car on the second day spent 45 mins trying to contact branch with out reply , on returning the car was asked why isn’t the tank full ? I took picture of fuel tank on dashboard when collecting car 2/3 full and produced this (I suggest everybody does this ) not even an apology!!!
Gave me a much bigger car than I had requested and thought they was doing me a favour !!! Very poor experience from start to finish

Went there to pick up a van I had booked and paid for online. For no good reason was denied the rental due to ‘not passing standard identity checks’. That’s an issue in itself, (should do the identity checks before payment.. especially before customers arrive to collect the vehicle), but the reason for the one star review is how the manager decided to deal with our confusion and questions. Awful attitude, zero professionalism, purposefully broadcasted “it’ll be something bad on your credit file” (it wasn’t) in an outside voice across the small reception room filled with other customers. Putting the GDPR breach to the side, she shouldn’t be speaking to inconvenienced customers in that manner. Customer service aren’t happy, and are handling the complaint.

I wouldn’t recommend the company for the silly ‘take your money, and then check identity’ policy, but if you choose to risk it definitely AVOID this branch.

The check in experience was fast and efficient with a very knowledgeable and helpful member of staff. The Vivaro van was almost brand new and the driving experience even with a full load was outstanding. The return was also great with another brilliant staff member. I will definitely return!
