Beautiful place for relaxed Sunday walk. Not too crowded, though in the afternoon car park was full. Spacious visitor centre with clean WC, shop and cafe. We acquired couple of books and some funny children's stuff that we -three adults on this trip - enjoyed a lot. Good selection of bird food and feeders. Beach is quite unique as it's made from London clay - you think they all are black stones and pebbles but actually it's clay. Plenty of information about it on boards along the walk. Also can see quite heavy coastal erosion.

A big thankyou to Mick, who had a fantastic knowledge of Megaladons and fossils and could answer all of my sons questions. He was so kind and my son really enjoyed talking to him. A wonderful place to visit, with amazing history and an interesting centre.

Wheelchair accessible, very friendly and helpful staff. Lots of choices of food items and drinks with tasty cakes. Highly recommend the hot chocolate on a cold, windy day.

The visitor centre itself can be quite busy depending on the day and time of visit. On colder days the inside can get a bit crowded as everyone sits indoors, which is to be expected but the indoor seating area is not the largest.

Nature reserve itself is lovely with opportunities to see many interesting species year-round including several different species of shorebird and seals. Beach doesn’t get too crowded and is a nice place for beachcombing.

Absolutely lovely place. Great vegan option in the restaurant, cake and sandwich, snacks.
Very great if you need information and have a lot of fossils to look at!

Essex Wildlife Trust Naze Nature Discovery Centre is a modern building in the shadow of the historic Naze Tower. There's lots of information on-site about the rich natural history to be discovered in the surrounding Naze area. As well as the main Visitors Centre/Shop/Cafe, there's an insect hibernarium nearby.
