What a great place in a lovely location. I was here for a Minds in Motion event and will be back next year. I’ve worked at outdoor centres and have to say all the team at Essex Outdoors do a great job. The admin team, activity instructors, kitchen and housekeeping teams were brilliant. I was very impressed with the place.

This was my first visit to Essex Outdoors Mersea for the Mersea Minds in Motion festival...wow, what an absolutely amazing weekend from start to finish! The residential package was exceptional value including 6 sumptuous meals, accommodation and a programme bursting with activities, classes and workshops! We did pilates, caving, aerial adventure, kayaking, bushcraft and a sunrise walk to name just a few of the wonderful experiences we had! A big shout out for the very lovely and helpful Emma, for such a well organised event. My only criticism is...that the time went too quickly! I can't wait to return again next year! Highly recommend!

My friends and I had the best time at Mersea Minds in Motion for the second year in a row. Emma, Andy and the team could not have been more helpful or clued up. There are many healing classes and many activity classes - something for the 'spiritual' as well as for the 'want to get active'!
Food and accommodation are included which make it unbeatable for the price. We have been for two years in a row and I hope to go again next year! Healing and great fun.

I recently attended the Mersea Minds in Motion weekend event for the second year in a row with a group of friends. We had the best weekend and were delighted to see that there were even more activities to try out this year. All of the staff are fantastic and so patient with everyone that might be a bit nervous about zipline, rope course, etc. The cabins were very clean and nice and warm at night. We can't wait to return next year!

I was there for the Minds in Motion event. I cannot praise the event enough. Every single aspect was excellent. There was a huge variety of fantastic, brilliantly run activities on offer for the entire weekend. We stayed in lovely cosy but spacious log cabins. The food was amazing, really tasty, well cooked and huge portions. Emma who was the organiser was outstanding. She was on call absolutely every moment, always with a smile and happy to help out. The location was second to none, we could see the sea from the cabin and were literally a stone's throw from the beach. I wish I could go there for this event every month, it was absolutely fantastic!

Mersea Minds in Motion- Absolutely Brilliant! I attended the Sept 2024 event for the first time and was blown away by the variety of sessions and activities and the professionalism of the staff and activity leaders. I went on my own and felt completely at home with the friendly group.
The accommodation facilities are Basic - think scout huts and single beds - but it’s incredibly affordable given the range of activities available including yoga, meditation, kayak, zip wire, caving and much more.
There were optional add ons including Reiki, ice baths and sauna, but there is plenty to do on the core timetable. You can choose which activities you want to join in and there is absolutely no pressure- just lots of encouragement.
The food was fantastic and there was plenty of it - quite a feat given there were 50 of us! Thoroughly recommended !

Essex outdoors hosted the Mersea minds in motion a weekend packed with a wide range of activities, classes and experiences. The accommodation was clean & tidy, the food was good but the location and facilities were amazing. Can’t wait to go again soon.
