I have personally used the expert services of Ian at Essential Italy three times now and the personal touch is second to none. The two properties I visited in Metato, a small Tuscan village nestled into the hillside, were beautifully rustic, tranquil and fully equipped down to quality linen sheets and a talented chef to visit you for any night you just want to be spoilt. You can sit and drink in the stunning view down to the sea below while imbibing a bottle or two from the village’s honesty larder.

I have also used Essential Italy for a city break in Florence in another stunning property with the highest ceilings possible in the heart of Firenze. They armed us with numerous recommendations for places to eat and when our flight was cancelled by a day there was no hesitation in arranging an extra night. I totally recommend Essential Italy as your go to holiday experts for quality, well priced holidays with a large dollop of something you just can’t bottle.

We had a delightful, exclusive and truly tailored experience, in perfect accommodation that met the needs of all six of us, ranging from teenagers to young adults and parents. The service and expertise was second to none and this family-run company completely understands customer's needs (I still can't quite believe Essential Italy even managed to find a couple of lovely local Italian ladies to cook some evening meals in our villa and clean up - utter heaven!). Great service from the UK and Sardinian team. Even though we didn’t have the greatest weather, the holiday was perfect. We swam, walked, played tennis and ate fabulous food. We stayed in Rosetta in Porto Rafael. The location has to be one of the best in Sardinia. Right on the beach in a beautiful village that has somehow escaped mass tourism. We will definitely return!

We (1 adult, 4 children) are just back from a week at Casa Rafael in Porto Rafael, Sardinia. We arrived to a lovely informative welcome by Myriam plus fresh pizza, fruit and drinks in the fridge. The apartment was just perfect in every way. Amazing and vast outside space with eating areas, seating areas, sun loungers and deck chairs, shower, 12 steps to the beach below and the view... the view that always demanded your attention. Inside was quirky, clean and equipped with everything we needed.
Porto Rafael is a really special place. Quiet, colourful, full of character, overly beautiful, and hidden! It's one of those places you selfishly don't want anyone else to find.

I visited Puglia with my other half in June of this year and we booked to stay in a BEAUTIFUL trullo villa (Trullo Iduna) which was set in the countryside and had its own private pool within driving distance of some beautiful towns and cities. The whole experience with Essential Italy was fantastic, they helped us to first find the perfect villa that suited our needs, then the conclusive guide to the local area we received before departure meant that we could plan our holidays - ensuring we had time to fit in all the best bits! Helen and Ian were always on the other end of the phone or an email when we had any questions, then the villa host and local contact were on hand whilst we were away. You could really tell that the recommendations and guides were from personal experiences and made our trip all the more enjoyable.

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect holiday and it was all thanks to Essential Italy. Can't wait to book our next holiday (hopefully to Sicily) with them and to explore more of their glorious properties!
