Absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately the visitor centre was closed, it's only open friday-sunday and bank holiday Monday. The toilets were not very nice and needed a good clean, wooden toilet seats and generally disgusting.
The forest is lovely, beautiful walks, ancient trees and lots of wildlife including Deer's.
We saw a coffee van which sold hot/ cold drinks and snacks.
Work is always being done within the forest to keep it safe and clean.
Lovely to walk the dogs and to have a pic nic

Great for families. Lovely staff. Lots of kids activities. Be sure to ask about the scavenger hunt which will keep the kids busy on your walk in the forest. The car park outside the visitor centre is cash only but just across the road is a car park with the option for mobile payments.

Interesting place- not a lot there. Could do with some maps of the footpaths (not just a couple of walks from the centre) for visitors to take away as there's no signs on the paths: very easy to get lost! Staff very helpful.

Great scenery and nice walkways that go for miles. Can also be used as a cycle track but advise diet tires.

Great place to visit with lots of forest trails mainly for walking but also some forest trails to go mountain biking + going off piste. Nice pub, cafe, seafood food stall on the weekend. Toilets + plenty of parking although it does get busy on the weekend and in summer so go early to get a space.

If you are a Londoner or a visitor you have to absolutely go to see this forest, nothing in common with the other huge parks, full of relaxing and totally immersion in the really nature.
Animals normally walk around like deers and you will love see them .
Or you can have simply a picnic on the grass while you watch people riding horses or just ducks and birds around you space walking.

Great place to start hiking through Epping Forest. There's a large car park at the visitor centre where you can park for free.

There's also a shop to get food and drinks as well as public toilets.
