Lovely people, polite, professional and they gave me a beautiful almost brand new Peugeot 208 to drive whilst my car is in the shop getting fixed after I was tail ended while in stationary traffic. No complaints about Enterprise at all, in fact the whole experience could not have been better.

⭐️ 1 Star – Disappointing and Unsafe Experience

Unfortunately, my recent experience with Enterprise (Portslade branch) has been deeply disappointing. I was provided with a hire car that was clearly not roadworthy—something later confirmed by an independent RAC inspection. This not only put my safety at risk, but also left me with the burden of addressing an issue that never should have occurred in the first place.

Despite promptly reporting the concerns and providing photographic and written evidence, I’ve received little in the way of meaningful resolution so far. Communication has been inconsistent, and I’ve been left feeling like safety concerns are being downplayed or delayed, rather than taken seriously.

Hiring a vehicle should be a straightforward, reliable process—especially from a major company. Sadly, that wasn’t the case here. I’m currently awaiting the full eight-week response window before escalating the matter to the Motor Ombudsman.

This review isn’t written lightly, but reflects my genuine hope that Enterprise takes better responsibility in the future—for the sake of their customers and road safety.

Be aware. Fraudsters.
They gave me a car with a scratch (i took a picture). When i returned it, they claimed I made the scratch (thank god i had a picture). Then they still tried to charge my card for the damage without even communicating with me. What a bunch of scammers

I've been holding off writing this review until now. Several months ago I requested and paid for a premium 7 seater SUV(Volvo XC90 or similar).The first letdown was on the day of pick up.I received a call to advise me that there was nobody available to pick me up as agreed.Had to took an uber.When I arrived, the car was the not the premium SUV we had ordered.It was a small SUV. When looking around the car I noticed the interior was filthy.I didn't say anything at the time as I didn't want to seem rude.Once home,I had to get the vacuum cleaner out and give it a clean.The two rear seats had very little legroom and are only suitable for toddlers.With the 2 rear seats up the boot was miniscule,with no room for our luggage.We ended up having to leave half of our luggage behind and had a very uncomfortable 10 hour round trip.The reason I didn't write this review earlier was because the manager Joe gave me call a couple of days later,apologised for the inconvenience and offered us a free upgrade on our next rental.He gave us his personal mobile number and sent an email to confirm this.Last week I needed to redeem this offer and sent Joe an email.Unfortunately he has decided to ignore all my emails and text messages!Why make an offer if you're not going to stand by itHorrible experience all round.Won't be coming back!

Enterprise is my go to car hire company as I have always been happy with the experience in terms of the vehicle and the customer service.

I have been lucky enough to have had the most helpful, kind and professional staff - who always really look after me as a customer - and clearly care about making sure the customer is happy.

There have been many staff who went above and beyond and whenever there has been the smallest issue on rare occasions, it's dealt with sorted out quickly and fairly.

I'd especially like to thank The staff at Brighton and Hove, I am not always the best worh names, but due to the frequency of times she has helped make my experience with Enterprise exceptional, I would like to mention a lovely member of staff who is called Mariya, in particular for the level of care and professionalism she always shows. She and others in both brighton and Hove offices represent Enterprise so such a high standard that I would never think of going elsewhere or using a different rental company.

Thanks to the quality of the service and vehicles, and the staff in particular, I'm always left with a great impression of Enterprise and I recommend them to friends and family.

I wanted to give a public mention, as ive found that when looking at reviews online for companies and occasionally staff representing said companies , often people only bother making reviews if they are negative. This is not very fair but the way of the world i guess

Anyway I just wanted to give honest positive feedback, to say thanks and to let management know that staff at the branches I mentioned, such as Mariya, are appreciated and are what makes a company great. I hope and like to think that the staff are rewarded fairly for what they do.

I have had roles in the past where this just didn't happen, and I've seen it time and again. So I hope management see my message ..thanks again for all the great experiences and I look forward to the next one
