My stay was brief, a late check-in and a crack of dawn departure - so I didn’t utilise the bar, breakfast, or other dining. What I did see of the hotel, I liked. My standard room was very nice, clearly recently refurbed, done with some style, particularly the rather snazzy bathroom. The bed was comfortable, the room peaceful, and tea/coffee facilities provided. The lady on reception who checked me in was wonderful. I wish I’d had more chance to take in the hotels’ gorgeous Art Nouveau features, I will make a point of returning to do so, not least given the very competitive price point.

I've stayed here twice now and it's my go to hotel when staying in York. It's very close to the city centre but also not in the super busy part of it which I prefer. I love the decor, it's so antique looking but modern at the same time!

I love how dog friendly they are at this hotel, we stayed in the courtyard king room which was so clean and tidy. The courtyard is perfect for dogs as they can go straight out to the yard!

I have no criticisms of this hotel, our breakfast was lovely too! It serves a buffet style continental breakfast but table service for cooked breakfasts which is my favourite way to serve it as you get the best of both worlds!

The service was amazing, all the staff were super friendly and helpful! I can't wait to stay again!

Wonderful little hotel with wonderful staff and amenities. I stayed in one of their courtyard suites and had zero issues. If this hotel is in your budget, you will love it! It’s about a 30 minute walk from the city center which is great.

Very quiet location. About 10 minute walk from the town gate. Beautifully restored art nouveau building. We were in room 319. Windows over the street, very large, spacious bathroom with separate shower and pedestal bathtub.||Good breakfast at a good price with spacious restaurant area. Good service throughout.

Lovely quirky hotel just outside the madness of York centre. The staff were all wonderful, in particular Victor was very attentive and friendly. The room was small but had everything needed for an overnight stay, we stayed in the courtyard and whilst the window was quite small, so not a massive amount of light,we slept very well as it was so quiet and beds were very comfortable. Would defo stay here again.

Lovely period hotel. When I arrived at the hotel no one was at reception which I found out was because poor Nadia was having to do everything. I had to come down later and inform her that I had parked my car in the car park (nb £14/day). The room was lovely big and clean. Do be aware though there is no lift and there are additional steps to get to the room and our room had 2 steps to get to the en-suite. The shower was massive.  There was no tea bags, and only 2 coffee pods with no explanation whether they were decaf or not. The tv remote would not switch the tv on or off. There were 2 bottles of water in the room but they needed to be paid for £2.50 each. For the price we paid for the hotel in advance too I feel we should have had more/better amenities in the room.

Caitlin, Nadia and Harriet were just wonderful at the hotel. From reservation, to check-in, our stay has been fabulous. What a lovely hotel and staff. A real gem in the Hilton Tapestry line.

The main hotel has a nicely furnished lobby and bar, not far from the city center and shopping districts. The add-on hotel across the street we stayed in is recently updated, and well done; with AC. Ensure when you book a room you ask which building you are getting, as the refurnished ones across the street have no lift and are spread over four floors, despite the room numbers making one think there are only a few floors.
