Choose any other bus to city when possible (e.g. the orange one is great)! And only buy one way, as the return is scammy... Not only is it more expensive than other options, but also they do not honour your return ticket even if you have proof of payment on your card, app, or even image of the ticket with all necessary information. It is on a really whimsy piece of thin receipt easily damaged by sun or rain... its also 8 pound!

Excellent way to travel from the airport to the city center. Staff are friendly and helpful. Accommodation for luggage and usb charging ports are big pluses. I recommend them highly!

The Edinburgh, Scotland Lothian City Link 100 bus departs the Waverly Bridge every 15 minutes or so and it’s a wonderful resource to use for the 30 min. trip to the airport. The double decker bus is very modern and up to date. It’s great fun riding on top and the price is right. 11 Pounds for 2 tickets. It makes stops along the way and it’s always a nice farewell or beginning journey to wonderful Edinburgh.

short old fella hite hair, no idea what's going on or off the bus needs to retire just causes confusion and mayhem , people wondering what to do with luggage and end up putting on and off themselves , not good for passengers.. or business , lot of folk saying the same , never again

Absolutely amazing way and quick way to transfer from airport to city or city to airport. Handy that it. Drops you right into city and major stops along the way that are near to hotel or attractions. Very reasonable price at 8 pound return or 12 pound for a all day ticket that's pretty good value.

Overall a good service but it's irritating when the so-called "pavement conductors" make you wait in the cold while they deal with general enquiries from tourists. They prevent you from approaching the door of the bus and restrict your boarding - even if you're holding a pre-purchased return ticket in your hand. This makes no sense and smacks of jobs-for-the-boys overstaffing (it's a council-run municipal bus service, not a private enterprise, go figure). The bus driver himself/herself should be capable of checking your ticket and allowing you to board while the "pavement conductors" continue chatting to the nice people who have just flown in from Japan and are waving about maps with pictures of Edinburgh Castle upon them. Do your homework: there are other bus services at the airport that will take you into the city centre for less money, and quicker, too. Privately-run ones, naturally.
