Hardly write reviews but I would avoid purchasing with e-bikes direct at all costs. Product came damaged in the box, with stains and scratches. Tried to resolve a refund and return with customer service, they are rude/patronising and trying to charge a £19.99 collection fee given the state of the product. I had a paid express delivery fee for the item which arrived in a torn and damaged box/ interior packaging also damaged. Avoid buying a product from this company.

Highly recommend E-Bikes direct

They were offering the bike my son wanted cheaper than anywhere else online and with free shipping. I panicked because I ordered much later than I should have so wasn’t hopeful it would arrive for his birthday but the order was dispatched the same day. Annoyingly it was misplaced by the courier, not E-Bikes fault. Their customer services were fantastic though and arranged a replacement with a different courier for next day delivery so we got it just in time, perfect

Very impressed and would certainly shop with them again!

Bike it's self is fine .customer service very poor .paid extra £6.49 for express delivery. Did not happen and had to go to the courier for item so my Grandson had it for his 1st birthday. Contacted ebikes to complain on 18th Sept and they agreed to refund the £6.49 .as of today 3rd September No refund or further correspondence received .Poor customer service.

I purchased the e-bike in April. After only 8 months of normal use, the bike stopped functioning completely in February — an alarming indicator of poor product quality, especially considering the one-year warranty.

Since reporting the issue, the company began sending me various replacement parts “on a trial basis,” assuming each time that the next one might resolve the fault. After weeks of guesswork and no working solution, I had to arrange and pay for the repair myself. While I was eventually reimbursed, this doesn’t change the fact that the process took months, required my own initiative, and caused significant disruption.

For context: this bike is my only means of transport to work. I was left without mobility and had to purchase a second, manual bike to continue commuting. The inconvenience, time lost, and the cost of a workaround were entirely avoidable — had the original product been reliable, or the service more competent.

While email replies were relatively quick, the actual technical support was inefficient and unstructured. It took three full months from the initial failure to regain access to my bike.

From a consumer rights perspective, the situation raises serious concerns about product durability, warranty reliability, and service accountability.

Bottom line: poor product, disorganised service, and low build quality. If you’re looking for a dependable e-bike and professional after-sales support, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

Having spent several months in hospital I needed a e-bike to help me to get mobile again. I found a great range on the website with all the technical information I needed. A few extra pictures on the site from different angles etc. would have been nice but that's a minor thing.

After ordering I contacted customer services via email for an estimated delivery time and was pleased to receive a response promptly.

I had a minor issue with the courier as I live in the Highlands of Scotland, however this only delayed my delivery by 2 days. All in it was 6 days from order to delivery which I found more than reasonable for a complex build.

My Wisper 705 Full Throttle arrived well protected in strong packaging. Assembly involved straightening the handle bars, attaching the pedals and adjusting the seat height. This took me approximately 5 minutes then it was ready to go.

I went for a 10 mile test ride using throttle only and even on a hill (approx. 25% gradient) I had consistent smooth power and a comfortable ride. The bike feels solid and well made so you don't feel vulnerable going fast downhill and the brakes are responsive and well balanced. The suspension easily coped with the million potholes are are sometimes just unavoidable.

I would highly recommend this bike and retailer. Professional, friendly and helpful (special thanks to Garf from Customer Service). They communicate really well with customers and the bike is really well built. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from E-Bikesdirect in the future.

5 start service from Josh at the customer service desk.
My package arrived torn and empty, no doubt due to shipping and handling, but when I contacted ebikes direct about it they immediately replaced it.
I won't hesitate to recommend them.

We’ve just bought two Oxygen e-bikes, an S-Cross CB and ST, from E-Bikes Direct in a classic his ‘n’ hers retirement purchase. It’s not the first time I’ve bought a bike from them however. I bought my first e-bike from e-Bikes Direct back in the spring of 2017 when I bought a Raleigh Motus for commuting.
So, why is it still so exciting to receive a new bike even when you’re in your early 60s Who knew, perhaps that child in us isn’t that far under the surface. And having them delivered to your door increases the excitement as you then get that Christmas Day feeling when you open the box 😊
First things first though, the bikes arrive ‘very’ well wrapped against any potential damage in transit. I was initially surprised they were not in the original manufacturers box but then realised that E-Bikes Direct do more than just ship the bikes to you, they do a full check and build of the major parts with a comprehensive check list of what has been done, leaving only the pedals to fit and the handlebars to straighten. And to make that process even easier they supply a Y-Shaped Hex key (4mm, 5mm, and 6mm) and a 15mm & 18mm spanner (Although this may be unique to Oxygen rather than with every bike)
Now, I was a little nervous about ordering bikes online, especially as E-Bikes Direct are about 230 miles away from where I live. However, after doing a lot of research about which bikes were going to be right for us I just had a few questions which they were able to help me with before placing the order. Also, my experience back in 2017 meant that I knew that if there were any problems with the bike/s they would do all they can to solve and rectify it. They sent new parts and paid for a local bike shop to replace an item last time so am confident they would do the same now – although I’m pleased to say I can’t see any faults with these bikes so far.
And finally, their prices are indeed very competitive so worth a look and a chat.
I would recommend 😊
