This was my second time staying at Eastside and I’ll be returning for a third! The accommodation (Cartshed this time) is beautifully designed and has all you need for a comfortable stay plus thoughtful touches like the rucksack with flask for walks. Location is peaceful and walks from the door, but easy to get to Edinburgh and the coast. Be prepared for the bumpy track to reach the farm but plenty of wildlife to spot on the way

We’ve just finished a 3 night stay at “this is Eastside”. Absolutely incredible. The almost 100% excellent reviews speak for themselves. We stayed in the Cartshed. Beautifully designed and immediate sense of calm as soon as you enter. A real treat to be in such stylish and minimalistic accommodation. We loved the underfloor heating. ||Our hosts were perfect. Good communication via email/text. Smooth effortless check in. No hassle and despite being in quite close proximity to the farm house, we still felt like we were in a wee world of our own. ||Sunday we went our 10K hike over the Pentland Hills then in the evening relaxed with the sauna and cold bath experience. Really special. Would love to do that again. ||Overall perfect.

We have just returned from our stay at Eastside cottages, we stayed in the Byre. Everything from start to finish was wonderful, the location is beautiful and only a short drive from Edinburgh. The cottage was spotless, spacious and felt like a home away from home. Jenny and Michael are so friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. We all absolutely loved our stay and we will 100% be returning. Thank you!

We stayed at the Westside Woodshed for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. The accommodation is beautifully designed and although compact has enough space and amenities to mean you want for nothing. Fantastic walks and scenery literally on your doorstep and only 12 or so miles from Edinburgh. To top it all off there is a wood fired hot tub to relax in after exploring the hills. Tip - leave the main cover on and chop the logs into smaller pieces to heat it quicker! Jenny was very helpful and although lives close by leaves you to your own devices unless you need her. It’s a magical place and so peaceful, you can unwind in next to no time.

Eastside Cottages is a gem in a wonderfully remote farm location. The apartment was stunning—modern in style and equipped with the latest appliances, providing everything we could possibly need. Everything about our stay was extremely professional, from the website to the detailed instructions and booking the yurt. Our evening in the yurt was incredibly relaxing, with thoughtful touches like bathrobes and drinks provided. Only a 30-45 minute drive to Edinburgh, and the area offers fantastic hiking opportunities right from the doorstep, surrounded by plenty of sheep. A perfect countryside escape!

We previously spent Christmas 2022 here, so it was wonderful to see Westside Woodshed in a different season. It was the perfect escape for us - with its proximity to Edinburgh, we were able to travel into the city for the Fringe Festival, but enjoy the amazing peace and quiet and big skies on our return in the evenings. It's so relaxing to be out 'in the middle of nowhere' but with the comfort of all mod cons. The accommodation is equipped with everything that you might need, it's spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable, and the hosts are an absolute delight and couldn't be more helpful. We loved seeing the local wildlife - a stoat, a deer, peregrines - and enjoyed our drives along the lane past resident cattle and sheep. The nearby footpaths lead to some even more stunning views, and even in mid-August you still feel like you've got the entire Pentland Hills to yourself. Absolute bliss.
