Eastgate Shopping Centre - Basildon

This is surprisingly a very massive shopping centre and it has everything going on here, especially when it comes to restaurants, supermarkets and clothing lines.
From McDonald's to Turkish restaurants and from Chinese to Indian restaurants are all there.
There is a Vue Cinema now with Shops like Primark and many more.
For buffet lovers or all kinds of meals, yes, this place has it!
And the transport system is a few minutes walk away.
There is a paid parking area for visitors.
The centre is clean and family-friendly.
It is a place to visit during seasonal times like Christmas 🎄 as there are lots of outdoor activities going on.

Review Jan 2024:

I cannot comments too much as I have only visited at the moment due to attending dental appointments. I have also used the MacDonald on the 1st floor.

But from what I have seen and tried:
(1) Car park access is good and wide
(2) lots of parking spaces and seemed properly lit every time I went there.
(3) paying car park: the yellow tokens have now disappeared. This is now automatic through cameras recording your number plate. Don't forget to pay at pay machine on each floor before leaving. Screen touch sensitive and if not work go to other side.

(4) lots of shops (various) and facilities

(5) on the outside there are coffee shop Costa and banks and etc

I do appreciate Basildon Eastgate shopping centre, it has enough to be able to cover off all the big needs without being a shopping mall like lakeside.
Plenty of parking although it does come at a cost, has plenty of dining options as well as a new Vue cinema. Grays town centre should look at Basildon and take note of what a town centre should be like

horrible basildon shopping centre with a poor selection of shops and They teenagers are terrible and can be quite evil, it depends what kind of crime. groups of kids hanging around. Doesn't feel a safe environment. School break hoilday summer until end September 2025

Lots of shops and lots of places to eat. Best cafe is cosy cafe. Lovley staff.. lovley meals and good prices .

Parked in the multi story, and found a jukie with fresh human pooh next to him at the exit. He was having a rant about Trump. So I took that as a que to leave.

It's good as it has a great cinema vue and glow sports and it has cultural shops but some of the shops are shut

Its fair to say this place has seen better days. There are a few shops still here and you can get the basics, Asda, HMV and jewellery. Local council trying to get the area better with the new Vue cinema just next to Eastgate but still alot of work to do
