Durlston Country Park, a short walk from Swanage, offers a variety of well-maintained and clearly signposted trails with stunning views.

There is also Durlston Castle at the start, which has toilets, a nice cafe and some interesting displays about the walks and local wildlife.

If you’re in Swanage, you should definitely spend an hour or two exploring this beautiful place - I’ll definitely be back!

A stunning country park located at the end of Swanage, woodland & coastal walk with a castle to stop at for refreshments.
Plenty of paid parking.

Lovely castle and beautiful landscapes. The parking is convenient, there were plenty of free space on Saturday. The stay shall be paid at the end, no tickets, all fully automated, which is great at my opinion.

There is a cafe with stunning view!

Brilliant location for a walk along the cliff path with lovely sea views and a very good restaurant café in the castle. Lots of parking available with wheelchair access to the cafe and shop.

Brilliant place for some walking and climbing.
Most of the Climbing 🧗🏻‍♀️ here is Trad and there is easy routes as well as difficult ones. a great day out for everyone

Durlston never disappoints. It has woodland, cliff top and countryside walks for all the family. The park is extremely well maintained by a dedicated team and the facilities are perfect.
At the moment you can get breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks, although naturally there is no inside seating. Having said that there is plenty of external seating overlooking the sea.
Car parking is good and reasonable. Highly recommended.
Many of the Paths around the park are accessible.
