We booked a few days with this company and paid a deposit. Unfortunately my partner who I was travelling with became seriously ill with aggressive cancer a couple of months before we were due to travel. We contacted the company to ask if there was any chance of getting back some of the deposit or allowing us to postpone the deposit for a later date but they were not prepared to help at all. I fully understand that they have no obligation to help but it has reinforced my belief that in future we will only book through airB&B who have been extremely helpful at this difficult time Disappointed in Dream cottages

Not a helpful company Tried to change my booking well in advance due to ill health in one of my party, There just kept sending a script email and would not read what I was saying. The property has a few issuers and after a few weeks I have not heard anything, I will not use them again

Yet again, I did email you on many times via the help part in your web site you just responded and say it’s not your issue, Happy to take the money then do sod all else

Dearleap cottage in Moreton: We arrived at the cottage on Friday evening and at first were delighted by the comfort and facilities. This turned out to be a facade. There is no Wi-Fi, no tv signal (probably related) and the swimming pool gate is locked. But what is worse is that the owners are not picking up their phones!!! Sykes/Dream cottages are not able to get hold of them either and we will be seeking a full refund on the total mis-selling of this property.

Stayed at Fisherman's Steps and had a lovely time.

The flat was clean and very well appointed. There was also a really informative pack was available showing local amenities and detailed instructions on how to operate all appliances.

we paid £2300 for a week long stay, checking in at 3pm. we later recieved an e mail telling us we would now have to check in at 5pm so the property could be deep cleaned to meet with covid regulations. we arrived at 5pm after travelling for 4 hours, to find the property had not been cleaned. every single item of crockery was coated in grit and grime, clearly from the dishwasher, however you could not miss it, but the cleaners have chosen to ignore it and put the filthy crockery back in the cupboard. every single room had black hairs on the floor, there was black hairs on the coffee table. we were also greeted with a huge bogie smeared on the wall. the light switches and handles were all grubby, so clearly this property had not been cleaned to meet government regulations. we called the the dreams office, also known as sykes I believe, and they did promptly send another cleaner out. we then had to vacate the property while a second clean was taking place, finally returning to the property at 8pm. this was not a great start, unfortunately it was lashing with rain, so every local pub/restraunt was full, so we had to pay for parking and sit in our car with 4 children to 8pm. the beds were clean and very comfortable, and the property was great.

considering we had initially booked and paid for a 3pm check in, but it was 8pm that we finally got into the property, I asked to be refunded for our first day total £329. I felt that was fair, not only for the 5 hours lost 3pm-8pm but the hassle and stress that went with it. however Kirsty from dreams felt that our bad start to holiday caused by their company was only worth £100. it also took them nearly 3 weeks to come up with that amount and around 15 phone calls from me chasing them.

Great house, shame about the company managing it!

Paid £1800 for a week in Weymouth, expecting a decent level if accommodation, the fridge freezer was held together with gaffer tape and subsequently found it froze everything in the fridge and didn't work properly, food had to be thrown away, oven door was lose and took 20 minutes to warm up to 150 degrees so not usable. Lose light fitting in ensuite which went on and off if you touched it, could get in till 5pm due to additional covid cleaning, god knows what the level of cleaning was before hand as we had to clean down sticky dirty surfaces in kitchen, dinning area and bathroom. Damp bedding in one bedroom and a musty smell. Issues reported and was just told 2 days later they had contacted the owner. The light did get repla Ed, due to the dangerous nature but the idiot they sent round clearly didn't own a dust sheet as the sink was covered in brick dust and so was the floor with screws and plugs left on the floor. All communications since have been ignored, judging by other posts I've seen this is standard procedure for Dream cottages, ignor the customer and hope they go away. Not in this case!

Very poor paid well over a £1000 to be told we could no longer check in at 3pm due to having to do a covid "deep clean" what a laugh the place was filthy even after we spoke to someone and a cleaner was sent out again still no better hair everywhere, toilets dirty so were the taps. Fittings and fixtures poor, told area manager would be in touch ..never happened! Pot on sink even had old contact lenses in we dont wear them!!! Grill pan also grubby ended up cleaning place myself to keep my family hopefully safe😷😡😡

I have been using Dream Cottages to book my holidays for many, many years now. I have always been extremely pleased with the location of the properties available in Weymouth and also the quality. Last year, we stayed in a new complex that was over in Portland called Crabbers Wharf and we were so impressed that we booked a second week there two weeks after our first stay. We are also returning there this year as the accommodation was so relaxing and a home away from home.
