I stayed here with a large group of friends over the weekend and it was fabulous. The place was absolutely spotless, towels provided and little bars of soap which were a nice touch. The beds were comfortable enough, the living room / kitchen was really nicely laid out and there was plenty of space for lots of people. Outside there was a barbecue and plenty of seating too. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking and dining equipment, the water is lovely and hot, and there is plenty of parking. It was so nice to wake up and find sheep and cows just on the other side of the wire fence too. Very serene and beautiful. We would come again!

Thank you so much for a perfect 3 night stay in this beautiful house. Bedrooms excellent all with en-suites. Very comfortable beds. Clean sheets and towels/robes. Fully equipped kitchen and very clean all throughout, making our stay very comfortable. Garden was lovely with a patio and a bbq. The location of the house, in this gorgeous countryside ,was just ideal for walks and local restaurants, pubs were amazing.

Got back from a stay here with 18 adults 12 kids and dogs. What an amazing venue. Love the open plan kitchen, living room and diner. Loads of space for everyone. Clean and tidy throughout. Loads of outside space with a play area for the kids. Ticked all the boxes. Will definitely be staying again.

We stayed here for a large family gathering of 28 of us and had such a lovely time! A really good family getaway.
The Manor was spotless when we arrived and the design of the property is really tasteful.
The location is as good as you can get in The Peak District.
100% will stay again and highly recommend!

A stunning house in a beautiful setting. We stayed 4 nights with a group of 30 of us. Every detail has been thought of and that's why we want to come back. Our dogs loved it too with all the space to run about! It almost feels enchanted. You could not hope for a more picturesque place, The Manor is incredibly beautifully finished, feels like utter indulgent luxury. Treat yourself. Worth it.

Tried to eat here on Saturday, pub was empty when we arrived (early Saturday - about 5pm) eventually a bar man appeared and took our order, we both ordered steak and ale pie with chips and veg. One plate of food was served quite swiftly, however, they had not taken our order correctly (not that they had anything else to do at the time!) and after waiting about 10 minutes, we asked for the other plate of food, it came about 20 minutes later, by this time other customers had come into the pub. The food was really bad, meat in the pie was chewy (even our dog wouldn't eat it) the chips were not cooked properly and the veg was out of a tin. We both left our meals. We returned to the bar where the landlord - I presume- was serving customers, he eventually asked 'was there something else you wanted?' we explained that we were not satisfied with the food and would appreciate the return of some of our money £10.00 per person for a pie/chips and veg which were obviously not home cooked or even edible. The landlord of the pub ignored us several times before returning to us asking 'what do you intend to do about it?' I explained that as we had already paid for our meal, could we have a refund of all or part of the cost, he stated that there was nothing wrong with the pie as he had eaten it for his tea the previous evening.....a few words were said and the landlord eventually got £20 out of the till and threw it toward us. Terrible attitude from the staff here, only gave the one star as they did provide water and biscuits for the dog. AVOID!!

Amazing stay! 27 of us recently stayed here for my hen do and we all had such a lovely time, the home is beautiful and spacious perfect for big groups of people, very clean and well equipped. Would recommend this place to anyone, the customer service was brilliant too very friendly and the team replied straight away, 10/10 thank you! 😄

Bit sad to leave a critical rating tbh as The Bluebell has been a favourite of mine for about 20 years.
The current owners seem to have kept the food prices at a restarant level, but couldn't muster the food or service to match when we visited.
At its best our meals reminded me of the deep fried stodgy pub grub of years ago. At its worst the meat I ordered was undercooked and inedible. None of our group finished their plate and we left disappointed.
The interior of the pub itself seemed scruffy and the toilets a bit unclean.
The beer was lazily kept with water not being flushed through after a line clean.
Maybe it was an off day, but I won't be back.
