Fine hotel with very convenient location. It right next to Gloucester rd tube station and all main lines going to airport and city centre. We arrived early, room was not ready yet but the receptionist was very polite, stored our bags and when we returned room was ready. Rooms are basic without any distinct feelling, industry standard. We had a room with view of secret garden though and that was very nice. Secret garden are 3 glass domes, like the one on Mars 🙂 and surrounding them is lawn. It is very nice dinner venue. Wifi was fast and reliable and we did not have any problems during the stay. I would choose this hotel again because of location.

I am writing regarding the security deposit from my recent stay at your hotel. I was informed that the refund would be processed within one week, but to date, I have not received it. This delay is unacceptable and raises concerns, especially after being repeatedly assured it would be handled promptly.

Please provide a clear update on the status of the refund and ensure it is processed without further delay.

Subject: Extremely Disappointed – No Refund of £200 Deposit + Poor Service

To whom it may concern,

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your hotel. It has now been over a week since I checked out, and I still have not received the £200 deposit that was promised to be refunded promptly. This is completely unacceptable and highly unprofessional.

In addition to the delay in the refund, the overall service during my stay was extremely poor. The staff were unhelpful and unresponsive, and the facilities were far below the standard expected – especially for the price paid. The elevator was out of order during my entire stay, which caused significant inconvenience.

I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. The lack of customer care, the broken facilities, and the failure to return my deposit in a timely manner make this one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had.

I expect an immediate resolution regarding my deposit. Should this matter not be resolved promptly, I will be forced to take further action and share my experience publicly on all relevant platforms.

We had a really good experience at this hotel. The room was spacious by London standards, likely recently renovated, and carefully cleaned each day. It was also surprisingly quiet, with very little street noise. Located just opposite a Piccadilly Line station, it offered an easy transfer from Heathrow and was perfect for exploring Central London. The staff were attentive and made sure we had an enjoyable stay.

The Google ratings and reviews on this hotel are deceiving. I could not have asked for a more positive and comfortable experience during my two-night stay. The room was impeccably clean, modern, and clearly well-kept. I was fortunate to get a back facing, quiet room and get a good night's sleep. The front desk staff were attentive, helpful, and friendly. As always, the warm cookies Doubletree is known to offer upon check-in did not disappoint. I also requested one as a late night snack after arriving from an evening performance and they kindly gave me one. If you don't have dinner here, at the very least a drink at the Secret Garden is a must for a serene and calm moment. Five stars all around.

I am not sure why this hotel is not ranked higher because it was a great place to stay. It is conveniently located right across from Gloucester tube station. We easily took the Picadilly line from Heathrow to get there. It made it super easy to go sightseeing and we did not use any other form of transportation since the tube station was so convenient. The rooms are very well insulated because we did not hear any road noise at all. There are plenty of food options nearby within walking distance. We went to Paul's every morning to grab a quick breakfast and drink. The beds were super comfortable and housekeeping brought us feather free pillows right away after I called to request them. The room was very clean and spotless. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Thanks for an amazing stay!

Bus stop right outside the hotel. We took the bus most of the time instead of the tube. Tube station is just across the street. Very convenient. There are many fast food restaurants close by. Waitrose is just right opposite, perfect for a late night supermarket shopping. Natural history museum, V&A are a few minutes walk away. Room is huge for London standard. Do note that hotel only provide 1 time free bottled water on the day of check in.

I celebrated my birthday dinner at Double Tree by Hilton Kensington ,and it turned out to be one of the most special evenings I’ve had. We had booked one of the domes, and it was such a magical setting—cozy, beautifully lit, and perfect for an intimate family gathering.
What really made the night unforgettable was the warm service and incredible food. Chris took care of us with such genuine hospitality—he was attentive, kind, and made sure we felt comfortable and cared for the entire time. A big thank-you goes to Chef Roy, whose dishes were absolutely phenomenal. Every bite was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, and you could tell a lot of heart went into the cooking.
My family and I left with full hearts and happy memories. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend my birthday. Thank you to the entire team for making it so special!
