The staff were all fantastic - friendly & efficient. Location is great, about a 20 minute walk from Kings Cross & close to the Angel tube station. We were also able to store our bags at the hotel on the day of our arrival and departure which was really useful.||Our room was very comfortable, bathroom & shower great. We had a superior room and having a mini fridge was really useful.||The only slight negative was a peculiar musty smell in the room, I notice this mentioned on some other reviews as well. We didn't notice it once we'd been in the room for a while, but could do with being addressed.||Overall a brilliant stay, and we would return if visiting London again.

Good location and pleasant hotel, albeit it starts to feel a bit tired in places. Comfy beds and linens but rooms getting ready for a refresh. Gym gets more limited as time goes on - some weights missing (stolen?) and now down to one treadmill. Good breakfast offering and nice room for it. Exec lounge a bit limited compared to some during the day but the evening offering is every bit good enough with some hot and cold nibbles, something sweet and the usual smattering of alcoholic drinks for those that want them. Special mention for Mimi who was on duty in the lounge when I last stayed - she could not be more delightful and helpful - Thankyou!

Very impressed and highly recommend. Shout out to Asad for being the best. Our family (4 adults, 2 kids - age 3 and 6months) took a red eye into London. We emailed a few days prior just asking if we could check in early as we were likely to be exhausted. The hotel said they’d try, but there was no guarantee - and we fully understood that. Fast forward to the day we check-in and we get to the hotel between 9am and 10am and are exhausted. We ask the front desk if we can check-in and Asad (clerk helping us) was apologetic that our rooms were not yet available as guests had not checked out. He stated he’d see if there were other options asking if we had to have adjoining rooms (we did). He said nothing was available or clean, but he’d give us access to go relax in the Executive Lounge for a little bit and leave our luggage with him. He said it would likely be a few hours but he’d call us when he had something. We were completely understanding and thanked him for the access to the lounge. We went to sit and not even 15min later he shows up to let us know he’d upgraded us and our rooms were available now. We paid an early check-in fee (a very reasonable price) and we were all set. Asad made our entire day and we were absolutely thrilled to be able to just check-in and relax. We stayed for 5 nights and had zero issues or complaints. Quiet, comfortable, adjoining rooms (not super common in London!), and close to public transit. Highly recommend.

We needed an 2 bed Accessible room which is spacious and had one bed with a firmer mattress which I appreciated.|We had to call Maintenance to operate the frig (for medication) and fix the shower knob & showerhead. Unfortunately the shower water flow & scalding hot temperature was never adequately repaired.|The Housekeeping lead Vasilika who did our room was excellent, especially since i returned from surgery and had special needs. I am grateful for her professionalism, attentiveness and very kind help.|Front desk is very responsive and the staff throughout the hotel is, with a few exceptions, very friendly & helpful.|We received especially excellent service in the restaurant from Jade Fernandes who truly understands the meaning of Hospitality and went the extra mile to make our meals a delightful & personalized experience.|The hotel management is available, courteous, and professional. |As a Hilton Honors member since 2001, I would recommend to Hilton to put a little more budget into this hotel to refresh & refurbish the rooms.

Wonderful Location with a Few Minor Drawbacks

We had a great stay overall. The location is absolutely perfect—just a 5-minute walk to Angel Tube Station and about a 15-minute walk to King's Cross. It’s ideally situated for sightseeing, making it a fantastic base to explore London.

As expected for London, the rooms are a bit small, but they are functional and clean. However, we experienced a couple of inconveniences:

Our initial room had a connecting door, and it got quite noisy in the early morning due to sound from the adjacent room, which affected our rest. We requested a quieter room without a connecting door, and the front desk staff was accommodating, promptly assigning us a new room.

The new room was much quieter, but the bed seemed smaller than the previous one. Still, it was comfortable enough, and we appreciated the peace and quiet.

One other issue was that the air conditioning couldn’t run continuously, which made it a bit uncomfortable at times.

On a positive note, the breakfast was excellent—we were very impressed with the variety and quality of food offered.

We stayed here to go to the Coldplay concert at Wembley, due to its easy access to the tube/underground.||I had to work from the hotel and the cafe bar in the lobby offered a great place to sit down for the day, while I waited for the room to be ready. They also stored our bags chin was great help.||However, from here it went a bit downhill. We were handed the keycard to a room that had been maxed out with air conditioning. Upon switching the air-con off a pungent damp smell appeared, a smell that got stronger and made all our belongings and clothes smell of damp.||When we requested a room change, a member of reception came to check and instead of helping us, he made his protocols our issue and said it would be very difficult, expecting us to sleep in a room with this smell.||I then went back down and a lovely guy managed to help me, and immediately swapped the room.||When you pay the money for a hotel, you don’t expect to have to refuse to sleep in your room for them to do something, especially after maintenance had agreed it was not healthy.||The hotel itself was lovely and a nice warm cookie upon welcome – just let down in regard to the initial response of the situation we had.

I stayed here in August of 2024. Still think about the experience often. Probably won’t go to London again.

First, The AC turns off every 2 hours. The first time we asked the front desk if there was anything we could do, they said “no, it’s the law.” The second time we asked, they said they could put us in a list to have it turned on remotely by the front desk. That helped, but was uneasy about the misinformation.

Second, we contracted bed bugs. We found them late at night in our bed and brought one down to the front desk to shoe them. We then showed them multiple pictures of the bugs all over our room. Unfortunately we did not know much about bed bugs. Bites show anywhere from 5-14 days later. They quickly gave us a new room. We put all our clothes in bags and they laundered them for us. That’s where the kindness ended.

We did not speak to the manager due to it being the weekend. They tried to say we brought the bed bugs in because the bug was “too big” to be new and they hadn’t received any complaints. Little did they know there was a review about bed bugs from 2 weeks before our stay. Staff were not very professional and would often try to deflect. We had to wait until Monday for the Lab team to inspect the room. They found a bedbug infestation. After many frustrating conversations we got the bedbug room comped but they would not comp the second room we were moved to.

While on the second leg of our trip in Amsterdam. The bed bug bites began to appear. My partner was in pain and had bites from his forehead to his hands and down to his toes. It was extremely upsetting. I made one last call to the hotel to discuss how they caused us so much pain and emotional distress. They finally comped the rest of our stay.

Will never forget this frustrating and emotional experience.

This place has great potential. It’s not exactly a 4-star hotel experience, but more of a 3. I read some of the reviews on here before making the decision to post this review. I do see a pattern: great location, only 2 towels for a room for 3 people, no water (as such if the case in our room) and the key wasn’t working and took several attempts to open our room (an indicator that the door’s battery may be low, as someone else mentioned? ). However, the thing that I can’t get over is how floor 1 smells of weed. I’m not talking just a few steps, but the entire floor! I first smelled it on arrival, but I didn’t think much of it. We went out to dinner at 7pm and returns by 10pm and the odour had gotten worse. You know it’s bad when your 8-year old child says: “Mommy, it smells really bad in our room, but not as bad as in the corridor!” I don’t know if there’s a drug dealer living in this building or if perhaps the staff spend their breaks getting high. Whichever it is, the 1st floor could really do with a thorough cleaning if you ask me! It’s now close to 11pm and the fact that I’m sitting here writing this review simply because my 8-year old can’t sleep due to the bad smell is a bit pathetic, don’t you think? My family and I came here for a 1-night stay as we move away to a different country (and yes, I’m a local Islington resident) and this experience has simply just added to my stress level. Hilton, please step up your game or start seeing your rating decline! My next fear is now the bed bug situation that I saw other reviews comment about!

Update: I have contacted the front desk to discuss the situation and similar to the other reviews on here, the staff simply don’t care about their customers! I explained to the front desk how our daughter had a difficult time falling asleep due to the bad smell and how we’ve had to turn on the fan to try to breath better. The answer I’ve gotten is that it’s “cleaning product”? They must be high for sure! I’m middle-aged woman and know the difference between cleaning product scent or weed. Also, if it their cleaning product is this pungent, surely, it’s a health hazard to expose guests to heavy chemicals! The worst part now is that they decided to call my room at close to 11:30p after I had told them that our daughter had finally fallen asleep. The only solution being offered is to move rooms at 11:30pm. Are you kidding me?!!! My kid is finally sleeping after struggling to fall sleep due to this bad smell and you now want me to wake her up to move rooms? No! What I really now want is an apology and a £188 per night rate (now being advertised) as opposed to the £245 rate that we are paying for a room and hallway that smells of cannabis!
