Absolutely loved visiting. The tour was amazing and really good value for money. We got to meet some lovely foals and our tour guide was engaging with interesting facts about Newmarket. The tour has a relaxed feel and doesn’t feel rushed at all, I also loved the format in terms of being ferried around on the minibus to the different on and off stops. Would definitely visit again!

We had a morning trainers tour guided by Charlotte - tour itself was really interesting, she was knowledgeable and kind, able to create a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Getting access to trainer’s yard and hearing about Newmarket’s horse racing history was 👌Definitely worth it!

Take your time to look around Newmarket. If you have half a day or the whole day go off the beaten track away from the High Street. Go down the street called Palace Street, starts where TK Max is. You will discover the cottage and house of Nell Gwyn (mistress of King Charles II). Find Charles II Palace belonging to the National Horse Racing Museum, There is a superb art collection in this restored house which has quaint gardens. Opposite is The National Horse Racing Museum itself. The museum is a fascinating place, light and airy well set out for children too. There is a restaurant and shop too. If you go outside to see the stables make sure you pick up cakes or bread from The Bakery. You will find the Tourist Information Centre within the museum should you wish to go on to discover more in Newmarket.

Excellent morning on Saturday at The National Stud I would thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone who loves horses and horse racing. Meeting Stradivarius was a highlight and see the new born foals and not forgetting Lord Windermere and The Tin Man

I am new to the horse racing industry - and found the history of the birth of thoroughbred racing very interesting. We had a private tour of a couple stud farms as well.

We did the full day Frankel tour and what an amazing day it was. We started off at the racecourse where we got to see the royal box and the weighing room amongst other things and we were told a lot about the history of Newmarket. Then onto Roger Varians yard where we were made very welcome and got to see some beautifully bred horses and his stable stars like Elmalka and Charyn. We were taken up to the Warren hill gallops then off for a lovely lunch at the Bedford lodge hotel. Then the highlight of the day off to Banstead Manor. Along the way we were shown where a lot of the top studs were. As we arrived at Banstead Manor the gates swung open and what an immaculate place it was. It was a very hot day and we were given water and looked after. Every stallion was shown to us and talked about in detail starting with Chaldean who shone like gold in the sun. We got to see Bated Breath, lovely old oasis Dream who looked amazing for his age, I absolutely loved Kingman, he was pure quality and then they brought out the star of the show Frankel who just stood in front of us with an air of greatness. I was on cloud 9 not being 10 feet away from such a wonderful horse that I had always admired. The stud grooms were telling us all about him and we were allowed to ask questions and take photos. We were then shown the covering barn and as we left were given a goody bag. It was lovely to meet Lady Cecil who spent the day with us and our guide, Larry was very informative. I can honestly say it's one of the best things I have ever done. so a big thank you to discover Newmarket.

The most fantastic day and a horse lover/ race fan’s dream … such an authentic experience for which going private is so so worth it. From Larry the most knowledgable tour guide, welcoming trainers, friendly yard staff to how close you get to the horses … all in all an incredible day out. Highly recommend.
