Had a really fun 2 hour ride on Connie. Trek leader Amelie looked after us really well. Horses seem happy and fit. The yard is right on a bend and has a very small entrance but my gps took me right there.

I took my daughter and her friend for an hour trek this week, booking was easy and they reply very promptly to say how busy they must be ! There was a little misunderstanding about what I wanted when I booked but they were lovely about it and went out of their way to accommodate us which I really appreciate. The lady that took us out was so nice (I’m so sorry I didn’t get your name) she talked to us the whole time and gave the girls some tips and advise and really built my daughters confidence, after the ride my daughter was able untack the horse and turn it out into the field which made her day ! And to top it off as it was a hot day they were both given an ice pop and sat with their feet in the stream to cool off ! Fab day enjoyed by all, will definitely be booking again, thank you so much 🤩

I have been going to DPT since January 2024. I had not been on a horse for 18 years. When I filled my original forms in I was honest (as everyone should be) because by doing that they are then able to match you with a horse for your ability. On that very first trek I was allocated Mr Tubs, and he was brilliant. He gave me such a confidence boost, and really looked after me. That is complete testament to Jayne, and all the staff that are there and care for the horses. From then, I have absolutely fallen head over heels for DPT and I am there multiple times a month. I have had a variety of treks, I have been on solo treks, group treks, private one to one lessons. I have also been on so many of the horses: Mr Tubs, Florence, Connie, Heidi, Ruffus, Ace, Sassy, Lorraine. And they have all been brilliant. Whenever I email to book in the staff always get back to me within 24 hours and I know once I have paid my deposit my booking is confirmed and that’s when I can put it in my diary. I have been down at the yard when the farrier is there, and the care the horses receive is the best. I absolutely adore the staff that are there currently: Jayne, Bec, Kelly, Amelie, Ethan, and Lee have always been amazing with me. When I come to DPT it’s been amazing for me, as I get to spend time in the beautiful countryside with these beautiful horses and if I’m ever with Bec or particularly Kelly it’s like riding with my close friend and counsellor. I don’t just learn horse skills when I’m there but life skills too. I am just so so grateful that I only live 20 minutes away. And so grateful for Jayne letting us ride all of her beautiful horses. We would like to thank the wonderful people who run Derbyshire Pony Trekking. Booking was so easy for us , a few texts and booked the ride. It was truly a memorable experience we had with the charming Lauren and Lee who accompanied us and we thoroughly enjoyed the one hour guided pony ride.
They are very energetic and lovely people who talked to us all the way up and down and we were so excited and were happy to be with them. The pony’s were so nice and friendly and we never had any problems even though we were the beginners and never ride any horse before. It was least expensive as well. We will definitely visit them again very soon. Thanks a lot

We had 3 rides over 3 days. A wonderful experience from a great team. Amazing selection of horses which for me were April, Rufus and Ace.
All 3 were a joy to be with, gentle and compliant and filled me with confidence. The trails were very enjoyable, especially the final day, passing the Llama farm and visiting the Viewing Point where you can see 4 counties. Highly recommend and we will return.

We came here recently to do something a little different & to give my son a new experience. My 5 year old, my mother and my partner all had a walk on their horses and they all thoroughly enjoyed themselves. It was easy to book (through email) and it was no bother at all when we ended up asking to have our appointment date rescheduled around 3 times. It was a relaxed atmosphere & we’ll definitely be back again soon. I’d definitely recommend if you’re thinking about coming here, but pleaseeee remember it’s cash only for payments as I somehow missed that part on the email which really slowed things down & clearly wasn’t appreciated . An amazing 2 hour trek. Staff are friendly and knowledgable. Our horses were wonderful and the scenery just beautiful. Our lead Lena was lovely. My friend and I have ridden at many stables, schools and trekking centres between us over the years and this one is way up there. We plan to book again very soon.

Return visit. My daughter and i adore the place. The instructors give you plenty of confidence and you are actually allowed to ride the horses. The horses are fabulous and well cared for. Well worth a trip from Doncaster. We are booked in again and can't wait to come back. We love that there are many bridle paths and spectacilar scenery and wildlife to see.
