We had a highly disappointing experience with Dawson and Sanderson's travel agency. Communication was terrible throughout our entire booking process and holiday. We were sold a "luxury" holiday but, upon arrival, found ourselves staying in budget accommodations with minimal amenities. The short layovers nearly caused us to miss our flights on two occasions, and because of the rushed connections, our suitcases didn't arrive with us.

The lack of clear instructions meant we had to repeatedly reach out to our agent during the trip. She promised to respond but never followed through, forcing us to deal directly with the vendors—a frustrating situation, especially considering the premium price we paid. Once we returned, we requested a cost breakdown, only to be stonewalled. Rather than taking ownership of the issues, Dawson and Sanderson attempted to deflect blame onto the vendors and refused to acknowledge any fault on their part.

We felt like we did not get what we paid for, and the reluctance to provide a transparent breakdown only solidified our suspicions. It was pointless and a complete waste of time to even file a complaint—they simply went in circles, defending themselves and refusing to address our concerns. Once we paid for the holiday, the communication was nonexistent, and we didn’t get our travel documents until just days before departure, despite booking well in advance. We’d like to remind Dawson and Sanderson that the customer is always right, and at the very least, we deserved the courtesy of clear communication and a genuine effort to resolve our issues.

All in all, we feel let down and would not recommend Dawson and Sanderson if you're seeking a smooth, luxury travel experience.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Joanne at the Newcastle branch. Joanne wiped away my tears when Micky and myself decided to get married in Cyprus on July 30 2024 and had been told by another company (opposite the Northumberland street store) that it would be impossible to do in a short period of time. Joanne took it in her stride picked the most beautiful setting for our wedding vows and restaurant for the wedding venue. Joanne sorted absolutely everything and went way above and beyond for us. If it hadn’t been for all her help it may have just been the civic centre as we both joked about. Thank you so much again Joanne from the bottom of mine and mickys heart. Dawson and Sanderson has an amazing member of staff with Joanne and the rest of the team are brilliant too. Definitely a 6 star service.

My daughter was married in Ibiza recently and there were a large numbers of people travelling all for different durations but all the same it was a large gathering.
Joanne, who coordinated this on our behalf and I must say has never ever let us down in respect of anything she has booked for us, went the extra mile to ensure this was a fantastic holiday for all coupled with the wedding. We had great rooms with fantastic views out to sea. We even seen dolphins swimming around on most days. Everyone who attended said it was brilliant and the best holiday ever. If it wasn’t for the attention to detail by Joanne, taking the time to speak to the hotel and ensure everything was arranged for us. I’m sure we would not have enjoyed the holiday as much. The wedding was at a different venue so all the arrangements had to tie in and Joanne made sure nothing was left to chance.
Thank you very very much Joanne and to Dawson and Sandersons for the effort you put into this for us. Very much appreciated.

I wouldn’t dream of going on holiday unless I booked through Dawson and Sanderson. Their very personal approach is beyond price. They managed to get us back from Oz during lockdown when Emirates abandoned us. Philip worked tirelessly through 5 flight plans to ensure we were able to come back. We didn’t lose any money which was amazing. We have just returned from our last two break superbly organised as ever. Back in on Monday to book the next one!

Dreadful.
We used a professional service, as we didn’t have any free time to plan our own holiday. We had only TWO requests.
1. A QUIET hotel (not lots of children running around).
2- The hotel should have a pool.
We left the Newcastle branch with a copy of the booked hotel and the agents name and number on it.
We didn’t realise until we arrived that we were booked into a different hotel, in the busiest resort in the area (which was scruffy, and they did not like the British). Our hotel had NO POOL.
After two days of being told lies, and a fortune in phone calls with the agent (who had an attitude until they realised we’d formally complained to Jet2) we resigned ourselves to spending hundreds of extra pounds to escape the dreadful place every day.
We will never trust this business again. I recommend you do the same.
