An amazing day out with plenty of viewpoints! There are six specific spots to enjoy. The first features a ledge with a small cottage where sheep roam freely. Other viewpoints include a barbecue area, sculptures of birds and animals, tall forest trees, a high mountain ledge, and best of all, you can experience all this for just a £10 fee from the comfort of your car.

A fantastic place to mountain bike, the cafe is also excellent.

Trails are well marked and in good order, there are toilets however the bike shop has gone.

The parking has to be paid for but there are plenty of spaces.

Cwmcarn Forest Drive is such a beautiful spot! 🌲 The drive itself offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape, and it's a perfect place for nature lovers. You can enjoy a leisurely drive through the forest, and there are plenty of spots to stop and take in the scenery.

If you're into hiking, there are some great trails to explore, too! The trails are well-marked and cater to different skill levels, so whether you're a beginner or more experienced, you'll find something that suits you.

The atmosphere is really peaceful, making it a great escape from the hustle and bustle. Just be sure to check the weather before you go, as it can get a bit muddy after rain. Overall, it’s a fantastic place to unwind and connect with nature.

Always a fantastic day at the scenic drive. There is a lovely blend of tales from our Mabinogion, and fantastic views across to the old cistercian farmed hills. If you're hale and hearty enough I'd always recomend stopping in what they call "Car Park 2" and taking the ridgeway walk to Twmbarlwm. Stunning views on fine days across the Severn estuary in one direction, and the start of Bannau Brycheiniog and the more than famous Skirrid Mountain in the other. On misty days, it's more of a magical cloud scape.

As a top tip, that some may not initially be aware of, entrance to the drive also gives you free parking for the other car parks in the area, the Ravens Cafe and lakeside walks.

Be aware that for cars, the "drive" is a one way loop system, varying from 10 to 15mph limits. Bicycles ignore this, ride two or three abreast the wrong way, zipping in and out of the roads willy and dare I say nilly, in speeds in excess.of 27mph. I do love Cwm Carn, and would have given a full 5 stars if it wasn't for the persistent plague of agressively dangerous cyclists.

Wanted to try a new trail, and Cafall had really good reviews online. Safe to say it didn't disappoint!
From beginning to end, even the car park & facilities, it was brilliant.
As bikers who do it for a bit of fun, I'm glad we have e-bikes, because of the initial climbs, but serious bikers will have much more fun on the downhill sections with a more nimble bike!
We went on a very cold December morning, with snow trying to fall, so while we didn't didn't to see the Bristol Channel, the views were still beautiful.
The trail itself was good fun, with not many technical areas for a red run (which is good for us!), but could have been slightly better signed. We missed a few sections where it cuts across fire roads, but that was probably partially due to not having ridden it before and I'm sure will be more more straightforward next time.
Overall, really enjoyable ride. Twrch trail next!

We parked at the visitor centre and went on a forest walk up to the hillfort and back. Great views but a bit of an uphill trek. There is a carpark stop to view the hillfort which has a less strenuous walk to the hillfort. Stopped off at the visitor centre cafe for a hot drink on our return. There was a Halloween trail for children and families to participate in when we visited.
