Had a lovely break celebrating a 70th birthday. Great location, beautiful garden with amazing views. The house has lovely interiors, comfortable beds and all you need. Good communication throughout. Would recommend!

We stayed at this amazing property (No 9, Lakeside Avenue) in Thorpeness and had the most amazing weekend! The property itself was so spacious and immaculately presented. It had everything you could need for a large group and the views onto the Mere were just breathtaking! The location is just perfect with an amazing pub with delicious food and drinks (The Dolphin Inn), a vibrant cafe (The Kitchen) and a fabulous country golf club in Thorpeness itself and Aldeburgh within walking distance along the coastal path which also had so much to explore. We had a local caterer - Anya at Kitchen Sixteen who delivered us a delicious meal one evening which was so good and would highly recommend. Curious retreats were great with communication from start to finish and the details were emailed along with so much information about the local area, places to go etc! We would definitely book a property with them again and recommend to others. Thank you so much for an amazing time and we hope to book again with you very soon!

We spent a very pleasant three days at 8 The Whinlands, which was clean, spacious and homely. The beds were very comfortable and the showers excellent. The kitchen was large, well equipped and sunny, and the living room comfortable and cosy. The location is excellent, close to the lake and cafes and restaurants. The hospitality was excellent - I had asked for a cafetière and the hosts popped round and personally dropped one off for us along with locally blended coffee, which was really kind. We would love to visit again.

A brilliant stay at Elm Tops. The house is immaculate, well equipped and large. With lots of places to sit even if there was a large group staying there would room for everyone. There is a pub in walking distance but if you want lots of choice you will have to drive a couple of miles. But if you want peace and quite (and not to have to worry about the neighbours) this is perfect.

Fabulous property in a great location particularly for us as we were attending a party in the village. Conveniently located though for everything beautiful Suffolk has to offer. Communication was great and we were offered an earlier arrival time. All amenities available in this lovely, quiet easy to access property. We’ll be back 🙏

We spent our Easter break at the Barn @ Manor Farm. Superb property, refurbished recently to the highest standard and with plenty of comfort; the large windows allow the surrounding landscape to be part of the barn. Perfect for relaxing!
We also loved exploring Suffolk's landscapes, countryside as well as seaside, with lovely long walks!
Tim and the team at Curious Retreats guided us from start to finish and we felt they were always there for us if needed.

Where to start! From the initial enquiry through to the cottage itself and all the staff interactions in-between Curious Retreats really set the bar high! They are attentive without being intrusive, there are little touches such as a welcome basket of goodies and the property itself was just wow!
