On arrival we were asked to confirm what we would like for breakfast for our stay. I added that I would like some fruit but I'm allergic to kiwi and pineapple. The first morning I saw that the mixed fruit had kiwi in it so I didn't have any. The Continental breakfast was very basic; cereal, mixed fruit, prunes, juices etc no pastries. The fry was grand and we were asked if we would like tea or coffee and toast. The first morning, the hostess greeted us and she was very nice. The next day, the young waiter had to do reception and front of house on his own and seemed to be new to the role and we feel that he should have had some help. I asked if I could have mixed fruit with no kiwi, but he asked in the kitchen and they said it just comes that way. In the kitchen, we could hear some inappropriate language. I don't think they realised customers could hear them. ||Onsite parking was handy and there was a shop beside the hotel. The hotel was a 30 minute walk from the city centre. ||The room was basic but clean. We feel it needs a bit of a refurbishment. The fabric on the stool was ripped.

The Halt is a beautiful family run hotel, staff are very friendly and warming. After coming from the Premier Inn in Londonderry, really and truthfully anything would have been better. Food was absolutely beautiful. Only issue I have is the pouring of the Guinness. Needs a little bit of re training…

Just stayed overnight at Cromore and had a lovely stay. The staff were wonderful. Very friendly and accommodating. The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was great as well. Great stay all round

Just had a gorgeous meal at Cromore. Fairly priced and very delicious. We didn't stay at the hotel but will be going back for 2nd meal before we fly back to Canada.

Terrible steak, inedible full of grizzle, it could not be cut with a knife Told staff who did nothing about it. Wanted to charge full amount. Had to debate it at checkout. Very embarrassing. Very disappointed.

We attended the restaurant for a birthday party food came out well and was very nice but upon going to pay we were presented with a 10% charge for a large group yet it clearly states that it is only applied to groups over 8 so it should not have been charged as we had 8 in our group, we also got a 10% tip charge as well which was expected to be paid . When confronted about these charges the staff member was not pleasant about it and made us feel uncomfortable which really destroyed the end of what had been a good night. After waiting 10 to 15 minutes the staff member finally returned and dropped these charges. Good food and service but it would really help if these charges were advertised for the customer rather than surprising them at the till after the meal

This place if you haven't visited is a hidden gem, Staff very friendly and helpful, place is clean, tidy, and well organised, rooms are impeccable and the food is of a high standard.
