I popped in for a pair of walking boots. There was a huge range in my size, and a very knowledgeable lady helped get me the right fit and spec for my needs. I went for the Asolo Greenwood boots, and I broke them in today on 15km and 1300m ascent. They were super comfortable, great grip, and a really supportive boot.

Popped in today as walks this week have made me realise I needed some new boots. Service was exceptional and the lovely lady that served me was very knowledgeable. I had my feet measured to make sure I was getting the right size and was able to try on a selection of boots before buying some that fitted my feet perfectly.
Pleasantly surprised by the price as I thought being an independent shop they would be more expensive than a chain, but actually, they are pretty much the same price but with a service that made me feel like they cared about me getting the right boot rather than making a sale.
Thank you very much!

Good selection of outdoor boots, circa £225 on average, make sure you get a correct fitting when spending money like this !

Nice Welsh town to visit, and to probably stay overnight in the Black Bear Hotel

Timmy Tailors on Draft served at a nice temperature, and the coffee also good (so I’m told ! )

Lager drinker ? Try the the Moretti on draft as this is also a nice pint

If you want a decent outdoor shopping experience, then this shop is a must. I had a high-quality experience and perfect care and assistance from Lisa in choosing and fitting a new pair of AKU walking boots, a very important thing to do when buying walking boots general. I'm a very pleased customer and will be returning. Thank you guys, I've worn the boots on a hill walk recently, and they are perfect.

A great independent retail outlet. I always pop in for top up of kit, as I like to support local retailers. Friendly staff with good product knowledge, also excellent knowledge of the mountains around. ⛰️😊
